I'm not saying it is, or will be, I was simply saying before we gather the mob lets find out the rest of the story.
I agree. I know I can be one to jump the gun. hahaha

Most people (your average American) have no idea of the amount of military weapons that have been given to local police departments. Most American's also don't realize the explosion of SWAT teams across the country to where even local yokel departments are breaking out the flamethrowers and hopping in the armored personnel carrier and heading out to serve a warrant for late parking tickets.
I avoid the police at all costs. If I find out that you're a cop. I smile and try to leave ASAP. As I have said it before on here numerous times. There are 3 results that happen when you deal with the law.
You lose your life
You lose your money
You lose your freedom
I avoid them at all cost. They will not take any of those 3 things from me.
I'm aware (was in the thread several months ago Willy referenced), was just stunned by the mine vehicle. And I love that meme.
Same..I guess I'm technically supposed to be less worried bc I'm white...but if I ever see a cop all I think about is he is looking for something he can write a ticket for not necessarily fighting crime. All I see them as are money collectors for the government.
That was my point, we don't have all the accounts, and we know this, yet we want to come to some sort of conclusion on what happened. When reasonably none of us can right now.

It doesn't matter whats rare enough for me. Again with smart people completely going ignorant while race is concerned.
1,000 (your data) deaths by cop in a country of 320 million isn't a rare occurrence? White people aren't claiming oppression by police, so adding them into your thought process here might make you feel equal, but it's irrelevant to the topic.
When I say, "comply" ( you keep taking words out of context) I say it because in most of these cases of supposed "police brutality" against blacks, almost every single one of them had some element of danger for the officer, and had the individual just complied, it wouldn't have escalated to extreme levels.
When an officer tells you to do something by his authority, you don't have options at that time. And this isn't a shock to you. If an officer told you to stop and comply you would, and I think we both know it. This is where I believe soft bigotry is running rampant with this mindset.
Cops arent telling the public to comply for the power of it, they're doing it because they must protect themselves, the individual, and innocent people in the area. Had the guy in Louisiana actually brought that weapon out and killed 5 innocent people, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. You'd know nothing about it, and that doesn't set red flags off in your head as to the reasons these topics even exist?
Spare me the "individual life" speech until we talk about the thousands and thousands of bodies piling up in heavily sympathetic and liberal ran cities in America. I have no interest in someone trying to convince me the guy in Louisiana deserved protest, wall to wall news coverage, and this board acting like idiots over it while innocent blacks really are being killed (kids/innocents) in record numbers in America and get zilch from anyone. Maybe take care of that giant problem before we worry about the .002%.
I don't know if there will be any other accounts honestly, besides whatever the police conclude. Anybody trying to paint Castile as a criminal is going to have a hard time doing so.
Anyway, I'm not so much interested in conclusions to tragedies that have happened as I am trying to find solutions to help prevent them in the future.
One idea I had:
Why not increase police salary? There's an argument to be made thst thry deserve it considering the dangers they face, but more importantly, we need the best and thr brightest to have stronger incentives to serve the public good.
Well, that would be an account of what happened wouldn't it? Unless you've already concluded that the cops are going to lie.
We can't come to an accurate conclusion on how to deal with these instances in the future if we don't know fully what happened in this instance.
Whats going to happen in the future is already happening in St Louis and Baltimore, the cops aren't going to get involved in black communities as much. Crime jumped 60% in Baltimore and 56% in St Louis.
It won't be worth risking their lives and careers, and I don't blame them, and there will be a shortage of cops in those areas.
Selective reasoning. The data says no, the idiot brain says yes. What do we do?
and again... crime is way downSelective reasoning. The data says no, the idiot brain says yes. What do we do?
In 9 out of 10 years, they found a way [roll]How the hell do you shoot someone when all you have is a baton and a whistle?
Side bar: One of Facebook's trending stories is canceling of "Uncle Buck" after 2 episodes. It was basically Hollywood's lazy *** attempt to rehash old material, but this time with Mike Epps and a black family. I read about 60 of the top responses.
Most whites blamed it on being old material, ruining a classic, being lazy. All valid reasons. A few neanderthals made racial comments about them turning it into a black family, which I don't agree with. Funny is funny, don't care if it's any color of family.. but NO TV show in the PC age is going to touch Uncle Buck. I'd be just as annoyed if they tried to make a TV Show called "Bad Boys" with Jason Bateman and Chris Pine.. Be original.
But African American's blamed it, ENTIRELY, on race. "Guess it ain't enuff white ppl in the cast or the white ppl that are casted ain't throwing racial jokes", "I swear black shows get the ax all the damn time!" and "Of course they did. They have an all black cast, positive family image, and clean comedy"..
Pretty glaringly obvious our race issues aren't just on one side of the equation.
We hear this "we only want common sense gun regulations, we don't want to take anyone's guns, you rednecks are paranoid"....and then the same people proceed to make statements and comps to gun control countries clearly advocating taking all guns.In 9 out of 10 years, they found a way [roll]

Actually 79, several of the surrounding counties got them
Here's one from one of the neighboring counties. Why does a police force need this.

19 people killed so far in July, 566 for the year, do you think he can name a person who isn't black? It doesn't fit his narrative and yet he calls anyone who doesn't follow his agenda, racist.Don't you care about any other race that gets killed by a cop?

Can any level headed person tell me why the media is focusing on these 2 murders by cop and not the other 17 this month? I'll hang up and listen........
And before we get the same people saying more white people are killed by cops:
Obviously, some people don't understand statistics. That would be because white people make up 80% (250 million) of the entire population while African Americans make up 13% (35 million)....nearly 8x less... that 13% makes up nearly 51% of all police brutality deaths. That's insane. So what that means is for every white person being killed by cops, there are 5-7 blacks being killed at a higher frequency rate. If you fail to see the disproportionality in that, i have nothing to say to you.
This is off topic, but I have come to the conclusion that at least 2/3 of the "blue lives matter" blue light bulb club is racism. The remaining 1/3 is policemen's family. I've asked a few that aren't tied to law enforcement about why they're into it and the answer always turns to "they" and "them" doing all those protests about BLM. Passive agressive racism?? Guess so.I think this is very accurate and is a real problem but I don't think there is any doubt that racism does make up a huge part of this.
Wait. 52.5 + 45.3 = 97.8%. That leaves 2.2% for all the Hispanics, Asians, Native Indians, and anyone else I'm missing that isn't black or white. Maybe we need more immigration after all.
I guess welcome to the life of black men in this country.... sorry your life wasn't a walk in a park....but welcome to the life of my wife and her brothers...
I'm not saying it is, or will be, I was simply saying before we gather the mob lets find out the rest of the story.
.Maybe when guys like this come around? Not one in every little rinky-dink town of course but one somewhere in the area prepared to move out might be nice.Actually 79, several of the surrounding counties got them

Surprised the LEO weren't preparing for full body armor when Ma Kelly was blowing away cops in 1931........
Here is a very nice database also, but the few on here with their agenda will ignore this too........Wow. What a storehouse of info. Every police killing in the US since 1913, including links to the story behind them. Obviously no one is going to read them (well, jamo maybe) but it is great reference source..

Not really on topic but reading about Kelly and Dillinger is pretty awesome. The book "Public Enemies" was awesome. It's funny how a lot of folks cheered for the outlaws over cops back in that day.
Not as much nowadays.
