at 7 and all of the coaches cars were up there. Not surprising, and I'm glad they are, but a part of me wonders if Chris Wilson is just in his office playing Xbox. I bet his 3-4 approach works better this morning.

You realized it wouldn't have matter how many points we scored right?

13 pts weren`t going to beat A&M if we played good defense

A&M could have named their score yesterday. It was a horrible defensive game plan. The offense was horrible because the OL was horrible.

Yep. Everyone talks about how Wilson sucks so bad, yet we rank 23 in Def Scoring, while our offense ranks 48 in scoring.

That ranking meant nothing yesterday. To say yesterday was Croom bad would be an insult to Ellis Johnson.

Everyone knew we had weaknesses on offense. Our line is still a work in progress and we don't have a single deep threat at wr. On defense, we basically didn't have any glaring weaknesses. Apparently our DL is subpar, but nobody expected it to be.

You do realize Russell makes our line looks terrible regularly holding the ball for way too long.

"Work in progress" would be implying they could be good by the end of the season. We've played 9 games. At this point they just suck as a unit.

Call a spade a spade. Outside of Day and Jackson they're garbage.

Edited to add Malone has been pretty decent. Smith doesn't qualify because the dude barely plays. The tackles ruin everything, and there's no chemistry as a unit.

A&M couldn`t name the score with their offense on the bench while we`re on the field having 8-10 play drives eating the clock and ending up with points on the board. The offense is bad for numerous reasons not the least of which is scheme or lack thereof. A&M`s defense is not exactly Bama-like.

As coach said

Would you rather him throw picks? He can't run the routes for the WRs. We have zero deep threats. No playmakers at WR. All Welkers, no Mosses...

We should attempt to throw it deep at least twice a game. Put Morrow in and tell him to run as fact as he can straight up the field and chunk it. If he isn't open have Tyler over throw him 10 yards, I don't care. Teams coverages are collapsing on us b/c they don't respect the long ball b/c we don't run it. So they pile in and play aggressive and we still run no screens and draws. Puzzling...

Good point flab. Maybe it would be better to look at that scoring defense ranking in light of our first 7 games

This^^ is the answer. Sherrill did this very well. He knew we were a running team with no QB and sub par receivers, and he knew the opponent knew it as well. So every 3 or 4 drives as the defense started to creep up, he would call a play action and we would throw it deep...often 10 yards over the receivers head. But it still forced the defense to respect it. We should be doing this to help out our run game and short passing game. It is crucial that the defense at least respect that we could throw it deep.

If you did not think we had to score at least 35 points or more to win this game, you are and idiot.

Where was the O?

You do realize there is more to the OL than pass blocking right?

You do realize Russell makes our line looks terrible regularly holding the ball for way too long.

How many times did we rush for no gain, or a loss or 1 or 2 yard gains? Way too 17ing many especially being down the whole game. Yeah we had a couple of good runs but overall our run blocking was not very good saturday.
