LSU, if they fire Les Miles, will owe him a $15M buyout, as well as a $2M buyout for his staff!

Our boosters are complaining over a $1.4M buyout and LSU won't give Miles the slightest hint of confidence because they are considering paying the $17M.

LSU is in a different football universe than us.

Their fans are willing to give up $17 Million just to fire a coach. Meanwhile, many people here said they wouldn't renew if Rutgers raise the tickets to $10 a game in that other thread.

That is the difference between us and them in a nutshell. Our fans are cheap or poor or cheap and poor.

Thast what happens when you are the top team in the region and nationally for more than a century (above even the late to the game pro team). You end up with lots of fans. But the flip side is - LSU (or its donors) is about to throw $17 million plus however much they plan on spending on a new coach away in a vain hope that there is another Nick Saban out there.

Miles has one of the top winning %'s. Where do LSU fans think they will find someone better?
