Pick 6 caused a reversal of 14 points. We’re so close. I can taste it! Last time the score was 52-3
This was a winnable game. One we needed to get.I'm not going to jump off a bridge, either. We lost to a better team, in their building. Progress is clearly evident. Let's win next week.
The biggest problem is Greg Schiano. More intent on playing a chess match with himself trying to will a 10-7 final score so purposely avoiding trying to score, who tries not to put an offense in position to win until its too late and the game is likely out of reach

Ciarocca and his "they'll never see it coming, completely unexpected" playcalling. So frustrating. The 5 yard outs on 3rd and 10 are just crazy.
Politely.. I think that's a load of...er copout.you coach with the talent you have on the roster and have faith in.
Right now the Rutgers roster is not a real talented one and Schiano need to maximize
it's strength calling the game, while minimizing the weaknesses in order to have a better chance of winning.
Mistakes are made playing to conservative on the offensive end , but if the OL isn't one that can protect and open holes easily a wide open offense might prove more mistake prone
Especially if the QB hasn't proved ready for a staring role and just shows flashes of greatness along with looking , at times, like he still isn't ready to be the man.
And you thought the Jabu package was consistent and predictable lol. We need a new name for this play calling.Ciarocca and his "they'll never see it coming, completely unexpected" playcalling.
Who’s job is it to recruit and develop a talented roster? You can talk to GS maximizing its strength by minimizing its weakness but he has played the same way regardless of who’s on his roster. It’s def on GSyou coach with the talent you have on the roster and have faith in.

I am not a QB controversy fan, but after the TD drive, why not give Simon the next drive??Growing pains with Gavin ? Or does Simon need more time ?
I am not sure.
We couldn’t run the ball today, and that was a big problem for us.The defense was awesome until all the 3 outs. This defense is pretty damn good. Need more first downs.
Can we talk special teams? There is nothing special about ours. FFS can someone return a kick or a punt? Botched long snap to punter. Doinked XP. Maybe Greg should dedicate a coach to that unit. The biggest problem is Greg Schiano. The team has improved enough to beat really bad teams easily--as opposed to barely beating them like last year--and enough to lose by less to middling teams--as opposed to being completely demolished, at least so far. That's not impressive halfway through year 4. That's improvement at a snail's pace.Losing by a little is not more fun then losing by a lot. Surprisingly it’s actually worse. We are almost as miserable as better teams that lose these games by a possession.
Well true . But today was winnable and we didn’t even make a game of it really . I think many fans fear the season may be collapsingHalfway through the season, the only two losses are @Michigan and @Wisconsin. Many are complaining. Really an odd bunch..
If he played for the FG at the end of the half people would have been going nuts. Easy to say now after we know the pick 6 is comingI actually didn’t have a problem with the way GS coached this game until he didn’t take the late FG. It was 10-0 on the road with a QB who was playing poorly. If he doesn’t throw a killer INT it’s no worse than 10-3 at half. We played well in 3Q. Easily could’ve been a one score game late.
Also, let’s not ignore that Fickle wants to go up and down the field and handpicked his QB. You think he was happy his offense had 10 on us in the first half? Our defense is very good. That’s Schiano too.

To hell with your facts. Just listen the the GS haters who will tell you how it’s done.Well at least temorarily RU's red zone stats are up (how much is Wagner I don't know didn't watch)
To date RU is #33 and last year finished at #108 (#111 in 2021)

It’s really year 3 given how late in the year he came in. His first true class are true juniors. Think about that. Given the train wreck he inherited for us to be talking about if this went right or that we could have beaten Wisconsin or even close to Michigan is a pretty remarkable feat. Forget about all you arm chair QBs who know how to play each down. The team has improved enough to beat really bad teams easily--as opposed to barely beating them like last year--and enough to lose by less to middling teams--as opposed to being completely demolished, at least so far. The stats accumulated literally against 4 pansiesTo hell with your facts. Just listen the the GS haters who will tell you how it’s done.
In two years we’ll beat someone of consequence. The QB needs to get better and throw more accurately.Call me impatient if you will, but I've been hearing about building blocks for 20+ years. When do we actually beat someone of consequence? When do we get a coach that plays to win instead of not to lose?
So many other programs get competitive quickly. Teams with less talent beat better teams every weekend. Not us. We're always building. Three more years and we'll be good! Tired of Chop and Family or whatever. It's so frustrating to watch the same script play out over and over and we willfully won't make a change.
But I'll be there with y'all every Saturday watching the shitshow. Cheers!
To see accelerated improvement in a shorter timespan, you need impressive support . USC and Colorado bought the best team they could buy. We don’t have such luxury because we have to develop kids over the span of years. We also need better facilities such as the Fieldhouse, so we can upgrade recruiting. The team has improved enough to beat really bad teams easily--as opposed to barely beating them like last year--and enough to lose by less to middling teams--as opposed to being completely demolished, at least so far. We blew the opportunity. Thankfully, there will be more this year. Get the next two, and we’re exactly where we want to be. Then all the November games are similarly tough opportunities. We’re in a race to get better. If the WRs continue to improve at the current pace, and Gavin gets a little bit better and throws a little more accurately,This was a winnable game. One we needed to get.
Same old Rutgers fans! Loser mentality.Well true . But today was winnable and we didn’t even make a game of it really . I think many fans fear the season may be collapsing
Was winnable but not one we needed to get though it would have been nice. Our two losses this year are to the #2 team in the country and the team which will probably win the West and go to a NYD bowl. In neither game were we embarrassed to the level of losses in the past. This is progress. This was a winnable game. One we needed to get.
