I'm not gonna be nice to you. Your post is literally the definition of zero awareness or empathy. It's incredibly stupid.
$725 + extras significantly increasing the cost is EXPENSIVE.
Most estimates have it in a broad range, but somewhere between 30% to 70% of people in America live PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK. They don't just have $725 + change to drop.
How you read that excerpt and came to the wrong conclusion shows a distinct level of stupidity. Your critical thinking skills are broke. Not everyone has the same level of income as you or had the same opportunities to save up as you. It's actually a word that will probably trigger a sjw snowflake like you: Privilege.
Now your only rebuttal left will be "word length". As shown earlier in this thread - it's a telling level of low intelligence when the response is "too many words - i'm too dumb to read" and that's supposed to insult me.
In conclusion, you're an idiot. You're also not a morally good person. Don't respond, just read this a few times until maybe something clicks for you and you develop at least one iota of critical thinking.
The day I start giving credence to the opinion of a woke imbecile like you is the day hell freezes over. Want to know what is a sign of ignorance? You assuming things about me to fit your narrow viewpoint...things that are incorrect, btw.
Calling me a sjw? Are you serious?? Cleary it is you who is the social justice warrior. I've been dealing with you wackos out here in California for decades. The vast majority of you are the most intolerant people I've ever met...by far!
Another "sign of low intelligence" is your stating I'd come back with a "TLDR", "word length" tactic when nothing I have posted indicates that would ever be my approach. In fact, I'm the one who gets accused of making posts that are too long to read, so I guess we can chalk that one up to one of the stupid assumptions you've made about me.
As far as $725 + being too much, that's usually BS as well, given it's a one-time expense, and I'm guessing to any immigrant who values living here long term, there is a way to raise or save that much over a 5-year period. Poor souls might have to temporarily drink water instead of booze or soda for a while, or not go out for pizza or fast food for a few months.
As far as my privilege goes, I didn't have mine paid for. I earned academic scholarships and got student loans that I had to pay back by working and sacrificing for a while...cutting down on frivolous spending, taking on roommates to share living expenses, etc., until I could afford to be on my own and buy what I wanted to buy, etc.
"Somewhere between 30% to 70% live PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK"? Way to narrow that down to a relevant statistic, dumbass! Why not just stretch that out to "somewhere between 1% and 99%"? Or how about, "as much as 70% of people in America do not have to live paycheck to paycheck"?
BTW, I've been there before myself, paycheck-to-paycheck. Once after having to close down a business I ran where I employed 4 people. I took out a loan using my home as collateral so I could give every one of them an extra 3 months time to find a new job.
On another occasion I spent $ thousands and invested months of my time to help a disabled Vietnam vet get his home repaired, arrange for him to get meals delivered, at-home nursing care, etc. Helped him get his finances in order, and spent countless hours visiting and even helping him work out to improve his health, since he was not far from death when I discovered what had happened to him.
I'm the kind of guy who routinely buys meals for homeless people I see on the street. I've volunteered for countless support groups, including the Autism Society, AIDS Foundation, Food Bank and more. But sure...I'm not a "morally good person" like you, perhaps because I did & do my helping of my fellow man by giving of myself without seeking recognition via "virtue-signaling" and demanding others give to the same things I believe in supporting.
I do them because they are the Christian values I subscribe to, not because I can get likes on some idiotic Tik-Tok, Twitter, or Facebook post from people whose definition of morality is so skewed and twisted as to be an absolute joke!
In conclusion (though I could easily spend more time attacking your ignorant comments), you're an idiot. You're not a morally good person. Don't respond, just read this a few times until maybe something clicks for you and you develop at least one iota of critical thinking.
PS -Anytime you want to compare critical thinking skills or intelligence, bring it on, cupcake! Embarrass yourself some more...dig that hole deeper.
