This will likely decide third place in the conference. Should be an interesting matchup. This conference was supposed to be designed to save travel, but not for these schools. Yet they put Mountain Island Charter in with Winston-Salem schools for football. Go figure.
Rooting for EG here. This is an interesting game in my opinion. A very much improved EG team vs a 1A team who thinks they are better than they are.
This will be a very tough test for both teams. I am interested to see if there is a lingering effect from the Shelby loss last Friday for TJCA. If there is, this could become a three score ballgame in favor of East Gaston. Coach Postell has done an excellent job with the East Gaston team since he got there. TJCA definitely has the horses to go in to Mt. Holly and get the win. I definitely think this is a game that will be close going into the fourth quarter.
TJ 28 EG 21 half ... not a good half for EG. Blocked punt, fumble deep ... gave TJ short field twice.
Wait I saw it wrong on MaxPreps. It actually shows EG with the win 42-37 not TJ. Can anybody verify?
We won, but tried to give it away. Lots of mistakes tonight, but Hill and McKinney both had monster games again on both offense and defense. We were down at one point 35-21 and came back to win.
Glad to hear my boy Justin Hill had good game, he told me he was going leave it on field tonight
