Thomasville vs East Davidson- who ya got

I'm a die hard as well,and I'm dying more and more inside with these dogs,let's remember we only beat WD,and if we get excited over a win against them well that just shows where we are as a football program now...East is going to come to play I believe,and the dogs well who knows what team is going to show up,their just so unpredictable,we've beaten nobody all year...it's a toss up for me,I'd like a win but wouldn't be surprised one bit if we lost
Food for thought. The combined records of the opponents for both teams are as follows.
Thomasville 3-4, opponents are 25-25 including Randleman and S. Lee both @6-1 and W Mont @7-0.
East is 6-1, opponents are 14-35. Ledford (their only loss) is the only team with a winning record at 6-2.
Only common opponent is Wheatmore. East beat WM, Dogs get upset by them. But then the Dogs crush West Davidson (who beat the brakes of WM).

This defense is nothing to brag about! It was horrible against wheatmore and even blew some assignments against west...if west had been able to capitalize on some of those opportunities it would have been a different game. Ledford's defense is better than Thomasville's by a long shot so they will be prepared!
I have seen East play a few times but not Tville. East has a pretty solid running game and has a QB with a really good arm but is very streaky and so far hasn't been consistent with his accuracy this year so East has resorted to wearing teams down with their rushing attack. I read where Tville is running the spread this year, is that right? That will be weird to see the Dawgs in a spread if that is true. If Tville has trouble slowing down the East ground game then it will be long night. If East doesn't turn the ball over then I say they win the game. They hadn't turned the ball over much all year until last week, for some reason they had a couple lost fumbles after long runs. Hope East wins, this looks to be their best team in many years. They only have a few seniors on this years team and will return a lot of starters next year so they could be even better next year. Looking forward to a good game.
Who we played or who east has played means nothing,the year they beat us in 2014 we played a tougher schedule than they did,as we always do...so just throw that logic out the window,the days of Thomasville beating teams before we even got off the bus are long gone,beating Thomasville now is no big deal anymore like it would have been in the past,the intimidation,the mind games,the mystique is gone,we're just about an average football team now and will be for the formidable future
Not sure who wins but East schedule is charmin soft up to this point. They stopped just short of scheduling Davidson county middle schools thankfully.
I thought the purpose of this thread was to pick who wins Friday nights game, not bash one teams schedule.
Not bashing their schedule, just stating the facts. A large reason why this game is a toss up is because very few people can honestly say how good ED is because nobody knows based on who they've played.
If ED wins this game it's still gonna be hard to guage them on how good they are based off just beating us,because we're just an average team at best in my opinion,I think we can judge east by their overall play in the conference as a whole...as a whole the CCC has been down for several years as well,beating Thomasville is not as big a deal as in the past,but still to some teams it would be a major accomplishment..I'm thinking this is gonna be a close game.

Looking at both teams' schedule is very pertinent in making predictions and East Davidson's is atrocious, except for Ledford.
Here are a few stats in the Thomasville-East series.
Thomasville leads 18-1.
Thomasville has scored 654 cumulative points, East 78.
The average score is 34-4.
East has never scored more than12 points, while the Bulldogs have scored as many as 76.
East has been shutout 8 of 18 games.
Having said all that, Thomasville is as much Jekyll and Hyde as any team I've seen. Who knows which team will show up....the Albemarle/West Davidson/Starmount juggernaut, or the team that was throttled by Wheatmore.
It pains me to say it, but I predict that the difference is having last year's second best assistant for the 'Dogs prowling the sidelines for East. My prediction is that East gets its second all-time win over the Bulldogs by a score of 21-13. I'd love for the 'Dogs to show the effort and prove me wrong.
TVILLEDAWG2370 and ocdavis31, are you guys going to the game tonight? My family and I are going. This will be the first game that I have ever been to at Cushwa Stadium. The only other time I have been there was when I played church league softball many years ago. I'm really looking forward to a great game tonight. Good luck to both teams.

ocdavis31, if you get a chance tonight, come over to the visitors side and chat. I remember those church league days playing against Central Wesleyan in that church league. They had some long haul bombers on that team. Too much running for me at an early age. I look forward to a great game tonight.
I believe that's the most points east has ever scored against Thomasville and it's only halftime
Is it coaching or the severe decline in talent pool in Thomasville? I wasn't crazy about the head coach hire a few years ago but I don't expect it's all on him.
I have a theory... Maybe the tville people have started moving and sending their kids to east and Ledford, like Lexington folks have done around north.
I was there and it's coaching!!! Time to clean house!! The talent isn't what it used to be but it's still good enough to compete for a conference title and go to the first or second round of the playoffs.

The play calling was stupid the whole game. Especially the call on 4th and less than a yard. Get under center and run the dagum ball!!! And that last time they went for it on 4th down they should've just punted because if you can't get 4th and less than a yard what makes you think you'll get 4th and a few? Especially with the highly predictable play calling. They run the same play 9 out of 10 times. Also I might be the only one to notice this but the snap is slow and takes forever to get to the QB. The spread is stupid, The coaching is stupid, it's all stupid. This team has the talent to win conference; it's frustrating.
This is the most athletic and talented team we have had in years. Like black knight said- spread doesn't work for us- look forward for the undefeated JV team to get here- oh and they run I form - I'm disgusted, frustrated and embarrassed. If my daughter wasn't a cheerleader I very well may sit the rest of the year out. Good job to east though that group of guys has been winning football games since their fairgrove days, they were undefeated at brown middle, and beat our JV last year. Best football talent ever at east congrats on your second win over the Bulldogs in 20 years.
