Next year when the D gets a stop or has a big play...play either of these since Collins calls his defensive "psycho defense"...It would be something unique to us almost like Chinese Bandits

I like them both, but I probably like the Talking Heads more than the average State fan. The theme from Psycho would be perfect.

Without even listening, I am sure that either would be an upgrade over us playing "O Fortuna" before every opponent third down. Great song, but EVERYBODY plays that song.

Put a little thought into it and find something unique. It ain't rocket surgery. Good suggestion,

I would prefer that rousing rendition of "Madelliiiiiiiine" that always fires up the crowd so well.

After listening to both I say not no but hell no. The average fan is not going to get excited about either of these options.

Speaking of tFMB... Once a game they lead off Hail State with Krypton's theme... They need to do this more. It is effing awesome.

What I've always wanted us to do was use a sound clip of a vicious sounding dog. A 5 second clip of what sounds like the meanest damn dog in the continental US. Use this only on huge momentum plays during the game, and blast the 17 out of it. Think USEe cock crowing or bama's elephant.

This was one of my favorite things we did. Absolutely Epic.

I agree with most that the band needs some unique, engaging tunes for each down. For some insight on how it's currently done, there is a set list of 8-10 offensive and defensive "cheers" and they just run through the set list after each play if it's neutral or positive. I really wanted to work to develop some unique cheers that we play for each down (LSU's Tiger Band does this... and it's awesome to see how they engage the crowd...). We tried this at one point and I don't understand why they gave up on it... part of it is the drum majors at the time had an extremely hard time with it. Go State is the defacto "first down" cheer, but there are some other unique things they can build on. Right now, there's no real pattern to when songs are played and it's common cheers (Go, Go... O Fortuna, etc.).
