Ok brothas, its pretty dam simple. We have all seen teams start a freshman QB and do just fine and of course seen freshmans fail big time. If O'Brien has the football smarts, hes good to go from day one. We all know he has the arm and the cannon to threw every single pass we need, yes even now while hes in high school. If O'Brien can read defenses and make smart decisions and not turn it over he WILL beat out Tommy next year at SOME point. Tommy just doesn't have the football smarts, so if O'Brien does at all, he will be our guy sooner then later. And hell why not, if we our going to struggle next year, which we could guys, we might as well start building up our future Peyton Manning up from year one.
For Tommys sake, i do hope some how it all turns on for him in his head. With his dual threat ability, if he suddenly fixed his flaws he has, dude could be Hiesman material.
