The much improved RU Softball team looks to keep their Big10 Playoff hopes going, and improve in the standings. The Scarlet Knights (22-20, 6-9), winners of their last two Big Ten series, face the Terrapins (20-23, 4-11) looking to avenge a doubleheader sweep in Maryland last spring.

Games at 1 and 3 today in Piscataway.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Aug. 23, 2018) – Rutgers softball head coach Kristen Butler has announced three additions to the 2019 roster.

The trio of Montana Feathers, Corah Price and Aleah Marra join Po Russ and Katie Wingert as the newcomers to the Scarlet Knights, who open their fall schedule on Sept. 29.

Now leads or tied for lead for Home Runs in the Big 10.

And a pretty good student !

• A biochemistry major on a pre-med track

• A member of Rutgers Honors College

Any clue what the RPI for the team is? I think they could legit compete for a NCAA Tourney spot as early as next year at this rate.

Last year 6 Big10 teams made the NCAA tournament. This team is currently in 6th and depending how they finish out the regular season and do in the tournament, they could make the NCAA tournament THIS YEAR !

RU is #83 in RPI as of last weekend. That will most definitely go up after sweeping the Terps. Make some noise in the B1G Tourney and it's very possible the team gets an at large.
