Ole Miss fans tend to not get as bent out of shape when a recruit visits somewhere. It's part of the process.
Just a hunch but I would assume an 18 yo kid would prefer a club, such as ricks or the hunt club, not a bar/restaraunt. It needs to be ladies night at ricks. All females get in free, and drink free. Decent dj and then you got it

If a 5-star recruit who was committed to OM for a year, and then flipped to State
after an OV, I think things might be a bit different.
ETA: I realize that OM fans are just so much "better" at everything and "above it all". This attitude oozes from almost every Rebel fan post on this board...we get it.

I've never heard of anyone going to The Hunt Club since 2009. I'm going to assume you haven't been to Starkville in a log time.
Staggar is fun, and unfortunately unless you go to Rick's, which for a kid like Connor who has seen places in Oxford and T-town that make Rick's seem worse, there isn't a "club" in Starkville anyone wants to go to. State Theater being closed really hurts there.
It doesn't matter where, but we need to collaborate on where to go. I don't want Connor to sit in someone's dorm room this weekend.

Of course you havent heard of anyone going to the hunt club, my understanding is that it is primarily occupied by the African American student body. And I haven't been to ricks in a long time either. Regardless, NAFOOM won't be as pathetic as SPS was yesterday if Tony Conner visits, and I really, REALLY hate to say that.
I thought Freeze was recruiting these kids to give them everlasting salvation. Was there a Bible study at the Library? Were they witnessing to the lost? Maybe we should have a revival. Save the whole campus and town. *****

The further we get away from the CJ cluster17 and his twitter comments, the more these comments make me cringe. It was funny in context, but I think that context is pretty much gone.
I think the venue you need has to be State Theater. It has the proper size and a good location. Stagger is a cool place with some nice eye candy but it isn't big enough.

If the weather is good, the district would be a great choice. I'm just not a fan because I don't like waiting for a beer at a cramped bar. Rick's has it's moments, it's best when the tiki bar is open (summer). It also has the most diversity of all the bars, so that could leave a better impression than a bunch of preppy white kids in the district.
Although I'm not a fan of it myself, I'm surprised nobody has suggested Cowbell's. It's big, open late, and has a stage. It can be a on the rough side sometimes, but with preparation that can change for a given night (like when a big recruit is in town).
