So far, they have beat who they are supposed to be and kept playing hard when they were getting their *** kicked. Still don't know much about Freeze, but at least they don't know that he's not going to work, which definitely could have happened, as their advantage in talent could have easily been overcome by UCA and UTEP if Freeze was incompetent. Also, they have a competent qb option for the next two years.
Yes, if you're a bear having a team drop 60 on you is an embarrassment, but (1) I'd rather have a problem with my DC than my head coach and (2) maybe the talent Nutt left was just that bad. All in all, if you take into account where they were at the end of last season, I don't know why they wouldn't be excited to have a team that could possible get to 6-6 by next year depending on their OOC schedule, who they play in the East besides Vandy, and whether Auburn and Arkansas continue to implode.

What's funny is I think we will have threads that are similar from you about our basketball team when they come out and play hard all the way to the last second of regulation. No, you won't be talking about the atmosphere at the Hump like they are talking about the Grove. That won't be similar.

La Monroe and Western Kentucky have won as many SEC games in that span. If State is the "laughing stock" of the conference after winning two bowls in a row (one being a skull-dragging of Denard Robinson and Michigan in a NYD bowl) and on the way to another bowl appearance, what does that make UM?
