Top teams in 2021

It’s almost August!!! Who are some of the top teams in the state we should pay attention to in 4A? Who is competing for a state title?

I live in Charlotte so I know the one team everyone will mention is Chambers, they should be strong but lose a really good DC to Independence.

Chambers, Butler, Cardinal Gibbons, Mallard Creek, East Forsyth, Providence, Richmond, Myers Park would be my guess

I think WF will be really good this year. They have been down, by their own high standards the last few years, but last years team was loaded with young talent. If their offense can put up points they will be very good.

Those teams I mentioned above along with Grimsley, Ardrey Kell, C. Catholic, West Forsyth, Mt Tabor all possibly being in that top 10-12. Anyone know how Wake Forrest will look this year. I’m not as familiar with all 4A teams out East. So I could have let some teams out of the East

New Bern was one game away from the 4A State Title in year 2 of the new regime and will be much better, IMO, this Fall. Have 2 guys that can play QB, really good depth and they get Bobby Curlings back on the coaching staff whom has 3 state titles under his belt with the Bears. Should be a fun year.
