Turkey just came off the smoker.

Cold smoked some homemade Frito Chili Pie sausage and will throw it back on for 30-45 minutes at 250° before serving.

Got the old SRF Tri tip on now. Bringing it up to 120° slowly before searing on the soapstone searing stone.

Have a handful of open bourbon and whiskey bottles to choose from after eating.

About to put the turkey in the Orion smoker after brining since yesterday morning. Drinking some Wild Turkey 101 and may mix in a Coors light.

Alternating bourbon and brandy while the turkey smokes. My 2 boys challenged me to a 2 vs 1 game of soccer and can report I did not dominate.

I finished mine on the egg... it slowed down too much on the smoker and I freaked out and it rose 25 degrees in 2 hours on green egg. Done early. All good.
Hail State!

Not much variety but 10am beer with a dude coozie is a good start to the day
I have some bug today so the wife and son went to visit my daughter and her kids by themselves. My son and I are going to put the turkey in the brine tonight and cook it tomorrow night or Saturday when I'm feeling better.

Thwarted potential disaster with 2 turkeys that didn’t thaw and a ham that was too tall for my grill.

Both turkeys and ham turned out great.
