Don’t think line play is an issue this year like it has been in the past.
Kids just gotta realize Friday night is over and there’s a few more to go that mean almost as much.
Well I guess smoky will win the conference then if they are 14 better than Tuscola. Pretty sure our line held its own and then some Friday night.

The only way Smoky can win a share of the conference championship is if we lose to East or North. We’ve already played Smoky.
How did y’all match up with them?
I think our line played plenty well enough Friday night. Our skill players got tired and had some mental lapses down the stretch.
Smoky has a big line, and they also have a big wide receiver too. Their QB throws the ball well, and their sophomore running back has had some big games. We won 28-16, but it was a battle.
This could be a tough game for the mountaineers, wouldn't be surprised if they come out flat in the first half and get down by 7 to 10 points, but, come back out in the second half and take a very close win. Anyone know the status of #5, it looked like he was having terrible cramps, hopefully it wasn't a bad knee or ankle injury.
Your line played plenty well Friday night, however and it’s not a slight on them they were playing against a line ravaged by injuries at this point in the season, it’s a make shift line almost. That said if im honest if Pisgah had SM this Friday I wouldn’t feel good at all especially if the game was in Sylva. Tuscola will have to come out with every bit the effort they had this past Friday. They should get the ball out of then QBs hands on some quick stuff and use the athletic ability of there Wrs in open space against SM where they may have an advantage. I don’t see Tuscola running on SM so QB and WRs have to be on the same page for them to hope for a shootout and win. Offensively SM wants to establish that run, Tuscola has to slow that down first but they must game plan different than they did against Pisgah. SM presents the same issue as Pisgah to Tuscola with a big WR that Tuscola won’t be able to cover 1 on 1 the corner is gonna need safety help. SM with home field by 7
Funny that Smoky is battling for 2nd place in a 3A conference and being talked up after getting drubbed by 1A Swain.
The transitive aspect doesn’t work well for football. Smoky wore us (Franklin) down & whipped us last week. We routed Murphy & beat Swain earlier this year.
Does seem a lot of weird things have happened this year especially in the Smoky Mountain conference.
