Lively offense not always the case (maybe often not), but normally a good signal. Can’t be good without it. Glad to be 2-0-0.

Seattle was their reigning conference champion and thus an NCAAT participant last year. this was a better opponent than you might expect, though they lost bad in their first game of the season.

Shots 13-5 UNC
SOG: 6-3 UNC
UNC started really slow (again) but really put on pressure once down (again)

We missed a couple of shots that seemed like layups, so this could have been a better outcome.

Our defense last year was so consistently rock solid. But a couple of bad breakdowns to start this season makes me question if we will be as reliable. The good news is we still have Cordes who is about as proven as you can get in goal.

But I don't see an offense so far that you can expect to be putting up routine crooked numbers, and the returnees combined with the transfers just do not have any star players known for goal production. I do like Hansen up top. Not your traditional center striker, but he is electric and is pressuring defenses. He is best chasing down the long balls with plenty of room. He has the speed and his timing of runs is usually spot on. That of course means he works best on the counterattack, when he has almost half a field to work with. Does placing him there this tip our hand that we will be a pack the defense in and rely on the counter attack team this year?

Couple an unproven offense with a defense that at times looks out of sorts, and I see a team that is still a work in progress, and in danger of dropping a few you would hope to win. Plenty of time still to gel, though.

But very glad to be 2-0-0

#15 in Coaches poll. There are 8 (!) ACC teams ranked ahead of us. Cal is #17, SMU is receiving votes. Teams not receiving vote are Louisville, BC, Cuse, and Notre Dame.

Watched the first half, offense decidedly not lively. Did put an easy chance over the bar.

Team is lucky we were all distracted last night. Watched Charleston's goals on their Twitter account, first one was a huge deflection. 2nd was well worked but likely should've been defended better.

mpaer, I am not bad at you. You have to keep the peace in the household. It is okay to have Marshall as your number 2 team. Married guys do understand, trust me when I say this. If your wife or girlfriend is not happy than nobody in the house hold will be happy. Go Heels!

this was College of Charleston. they’re worse and beat us in basketball and we have to listen to Adam Lucas prattle on about them.
so yeah you’re right it sucked
Yeah I mistyped that. That result just drains any sort of confidence I’ve built since the start of the season. Hopefully we beat state tomorrow

There were a couple of calls I thought should have been called against NC State. They were being very aggressive; especially when one of their players cut the legs off of one of our players when he was trying to score. I know he went after the ball, but our player grabbed his knee when he hit the ground. He could have gotten hurt.

Tough goal to give up, made the save but didn't get enough to push it over the bar and it trickled in

I agree totally. At least they did not lose. I will take a tie any day. This team has a lot of new players on it. They are still learning to play with one another. Go Heels!

Totally outplayed Wake for the vast majority of that game. I loved the aggressiveness in getting the ball forward on offense and hustle on defense.
