Listen to Kimmel's mocking of Carl Malone's speaking style in black face is CLEARLY racist. But you seem to wish to give a pass to people who you like (Hollywood). I get that you are a fanboy but lets be intellectually honest. If being photographed in black face was disqualifying for a conservative it certainly disqualifying for a liberal. You cannot logically read minds and assign racism to one while laughing off the same from another. If Kimmel can be play acting and therefore forgiven for his stunt...because he was acting....while at the same time looking at a photo from 1979 where those guys were clearly play acting as well...unless you have evidence that they actually hanged the guy. Do you have that evidence? If not Kimmel's act is as clearly reprehensible and disgusting as the 1979 UNC year book and maybe more so. Kimmel (and Fallon) did his within the 2000's. He/they should know better.
Really? There a huge difference between impersonating a person and painting your face black to demean and belittle a person. Intent matters, people with logic and basic common sense know that. You lose all logic and reason because of your political agenda.

Maybe you should watch the clip. Kimmel is demeaning and belittling Malone.

I've seen the clip 1000 times, it was hilarious. I'm not as PC as you people and can find humor in things. He wasnt making fun of black people, he was doing an impersonation using Karl Malone's thick accent.

You might want to check the rule as written. It is NEVER alright to do it.

When Trump impersonated the reporter with the disability...he wasnt making fun...he was just impersonating his thick body movements. That is how stupid your reasoning sounds.

Yeah, impersonating a basketball player is the same as mocking a man with a physical disability.

It's alright if it jives with your politics. It's all political for you people, that's why you don't care about the intent.

This is political because one party makes it such... it is politically expedient for them to do so through exploiting your sensibilities; this is from when this racialism was a problem and now it's just a manufactured one.

You see racism everywhere you look because you are being told to look for it. If you actually see real racism everywhere in today's America, then you need to associate yourself with people of better character and quality.

Its political because both party's are trash. Bosh party's have a bunch of sheep followers who cares more about scoring political points for their side than right and wrong. Polititards are unable to look at things objectively.

You can’t impersonate a basketball player without blackface?

Like I said, you could have quit while you were ahead.
You can but that doesnt make racist. Intent matters. It's like the movie white chicks, you're prolly offended by that too.

You are defending black face, jackass.
No I'm not dumbass. Black face was used to portray black people in a negative way using racial stereotypes. The Karl Malone impersonation was just a Karl Malone impersonation. You're just too stupid to get it.

Ok, then you should be able to use that objectivity to understand that this and other instances simlar to it from the past have way more to do with stupidity and different cultural norms than they do with prejudice.

Nah, dressing up as the KKK and standing there with a noose around a guy in blackface is not a cultural norm.

See, you played your hand there you aren't objective. Go watch revenge of the nerds again, there are plenty of things in it which are objectively unacceptable today that are in the same vain as this.

This was idiocy, bad humor which was acceptable for its time making it a cultural norm then that it wasn't to be taken as face value. Understanding this reality doesn't mean you condone or support such behavior.

You can't just claim objectivity and think that makes you such, you aren't. The left is not the arbiter of what is or isn't objective, not even close. People who really aren't beholden to a particular ideology can clearly see this.

That ain't "black dialect" moron. He wasnt making fun of his race, you're too stupid to get it, and too fragile for comedy. The fact that you think a guy dressing up as Karl Malone is the same as a guy dressed in KKK garb with a noose around a guys neck wearing blackface is the same shows how ridiculous you are.

Who decides what is or isn't humor, what is or isn't offensive?

Go ahead and call me moron too, you cannot successfully feign intellectual superiority with me any more than you could objectivity.

What makes you think you have a right not to be offended?

Here we are again.

A photo of blatant racism shows up, and we still have idiots on this board tap dancing.
---
Ever read National Lampoon magazine from that same time period? They had stories & photos a hell of a lot worse than that, but then again, they went after everybody.

Why would I call you a moron? I only namecall people who namecall me, you're able to argue you side without that.

You decide what's humor and what's offensive based on your politics like you do everything else. Like political correctness is bad and its ruining the countey... until an NFL player needs for the anthem and you guys get offended.

It was more of a rhetorical statement indicating anyone with any sense doesn’t just yell moron back and forth without merit.

Similarly, anyone with any real sense doesn’t base what they find humorous on politics unless they believe in the whole leftist safespace garbage mentality and the like.

One should not base anything on some echo chamber of ideas.

Ah yes, the comedy was too intellectual. That must be it. Making fun of black people, racist. Making fun of a black guy, highbrow.

It was a comedy show and he wasnt making fun of him because of his race. I'm not sure why that's so hard to understand.

You're white/caucasian. You're never going to see racism the way minorities see it. You're never going to experience itike minorities experience it. In fact, you'll very likely never experience racism at all. It's incredibly ignorant to try and tell everyone else about racism when you will never experience it or understand it.

It's the equivalent of a man telling a women about giving birth. Or a straight person telling a gay person what it's like to be gay. You don't have any idea what you're talking about. You're just plagarizing others words and thoughts, because you're so controlled by a deep rooted political idealogue you are incapable of escaping it and thinking for yourself. I'm guessing you had some backwoods, inbred parents that injected this level of hate and ignorance into you. Likely as the by-product of further inbreeding.

Just stop! You're embarrassing all white people!
