So many of these O/U bets are tempting as hell. 72.5 for much of the better part of the field.

When will you weatherballs be able to nail down the forecast?

The great news heading into day 1 @usopengolf is the weather forecast has improved immensely. Predicted storms might not come until 3-4pm.

I'm going with DJ. He will drive the ball well and survive within 10 feet and finally get his first major. Not a darkhorse but that's who I'm taking.

Zach Johnson is probaby a decent money long shot. Matsuyama will get a major some time or another.

I won't pretend to be as knowledgeable about players and stats as some of you guys are. I've learned a lot in the two golf threads and I thank you all for that.
I did notice a name that hasn't been mentioned as a "sleeper" to win the tournament and was wondering what some of you guys thought. Colt Knost, he has been sneaky good the past several tournaments. I'm pretty indifferent to the guy but have noticed his name quite a bit lately.
Colt Knost does not have a tee time tomorrow.

Why do people always feel the need to embellish things in interviews? Watching the story on last year's Open on Golf Channel and they were talking about Jason Day collapsing from vertigo. The guy in the interview said he got up and "striped" his next shot. No he didn't. His shot right before he collapsed went into the bunker. He chunked his bunker shot onto the green and made the putt but he sure as hell didn't stripe anything. Had he needed to play another hole I seriously doubt there is any way he could have finished.

I'm taking Rory.

Soft out there. Might load up on the next few tee time unders.

Took several Unders -- course playing soft already, and some of these ringers are going to get to come out after this next storm w/ even better scoring conditions.

I bet he would like to find the one guy that they waited on for 10 minutes to get in place after the last rain delay and kick him straight in the nads.

It'd take me 8 hours to play this course.

Then you'd be done after 9. 'Inside' was talking about how even for members they'll boot your *** if you aren't keeping pace (4 hour round, which is generous). If you get on their website and view thier rules, it tells you to "pick up" if you're out of the hole, which I assume means you can't win it w/ your 4some game. [laughing] Also basically says to keep putting until you hole out, rather than mark after your initial putt. lol

Will Fox Sports come on any earlier than the Scheduled 10am to cover completion of 1st round?

I watched a little of the network coverage and they were still advertising 10 so I don't think so. The 2nd wave from Thursday will be lucky to be going off by 10.
