I did not like what I saw from our "Star recruits". Janzer and Aguilar, certainly didn't wrestle any world beaters and got tech'd pretty quick. Outside of a Ashnault and Suriano, this lack of heart that are wrestlers consistently display, is a real epidemic on our team. Correnti with him giving up the last couple seconds losing matches, Colucci putting his head down on the mat and basically getting scored on at will, Metzler getting rag-dolled by anybody in the top 20, Glasgow looking defeated in almost every match( and I'm sick and tired of everybody saying he is hurt..Randy Lewis AA'd with a broken arm,Nolf won a NCAA title with basically one leg and Anthony Robles won a NCAA..with one friggin leg!!),Pagano and his " oh..well..maybe I'll wrestle or maybe I wont",the list goes on and on and on and on. The culture of our team outside of Ash and Suriano, is abysmal. Grello was hot and cold Lipari was hot and cold, there's no consistency. Anytime we wrestle a team in the top 15, are wrestlers got outmuscled, and out-hustled.
The culture of our team is abysmal? Nonsense. We have a talent issue, not a culture issue.abro and you can always be counted on for a good laugh. I'm trying to shake off my morning anger, after seeing that disgraceful performance yesterday. I think you and I share the same sentiments that we tend to only look at the small minority of brightness on her team which was Ash and suriano. The rest of the team needs some serious sport psychology and physicalness
What do you mean Glasgow is on his way out?RUCrackers I understand your sentiments. So what do you suggest we do with the wrestlers we have now? Get rid of them.I think if we are going to put these things out there about the wrestlers lack of heart and performance. You should provide solutions to the problem.Glasgow might not be even an issue any more, as he is probably on his way out.
What do you suggest the coaches do to help improve consistency for the next season?
One can only assume from that post that no wrestling will ensue with your other endeavor.Have a great weekend folks....I am wrestled out..time for better half
GoodNJ 285 champ Fernandes on mat 1. Wrestling under the Buxton school name. on mat 2, opponent from Edinboro
And Fernandes loses by Tech 14-4
Just saw Yanni beating Zein on criteria.....wow
JoJo Aragona will be on deck on Mat 6 when action starts at 8. He will be facing Victor Voinovich. Sounds Russian, lol.I think he's an Ohio HS state champ. I do not see him ranked anywhere.
In his 2 losses Aragona did not show a lot of offense.
Lightner wrestles a former teammate of Aguilar and a juco or D2/D3 Champ, I think.Lightner on deck mat 3
Does JoJo wrestle again?
No, he's lost twice, he is done. He won't medal (top 8)
