Per WBTV scoreboard. The losses keep piling up. How did that work out for you Indepence parents and Admin? I know a coach who is probably smiling right now.

Vance was up 42-7 at halftime, so Brand showed some mercy or it could've been a lot worse.

Lol a lot of mistakes. Just glad to get out without injuries. Independence has some athletes. They need to get a coach n let them coach because they have talent on the team

They have had the coaching, sadly they have picked parental influence over quality coaching and now are reaping the "rewards".

Can someone explain what Parental picking means. What happened to all the athletes at Indy? Since Knott left things seem to fall apart.

The parents 6 days before the season started had a meeting with some assistant coaches and the principle at Indy(AD was not there) and were upset at how Scott Young was running the team so they convinced the principal to fire Young just 6 days before the season and let some guy on the staff take over.
Fun fact that meeting was held while Coach Young and his family were attending the funeral of his father.
How does parent ball taste Indy??

This really is the lowest of lowest. Man has heart surgery, comes back to coaching to help, and these people gang up on him behind his back.

Every coach in this state should keep this in mind when Indy needs a coach. Fighting health issues, parental death, and loss of income, possibly health benefits. I hope he has a great attorney and Charlotte Meck Schools pays dearly. The principal should be fired. Classless is an understatement.

Quick take. Scott Young is a great guy and coach!!! I did not think he should have been applying for HC jobs. Did not think he should have been hired. Once he was hired you stick with him and you have his back!

I wrote that I knew he could handle the football aspect if his health held up but dealing with the bureaucracy of CMS was a mine field he had never imagined.

Note the AD was out of town when the coupe d'etat went down.

Agree hope he gets a very nice settlement. That was as bush league as I have seen.

As far as future coaches, the principal will probably be moved in the next year and a new regime will be in place. The principal sets the tone.

They have had some impressive athletes. Were loaded two seasons.

The first year Knotts was gone was the first year of the redistricting due to Rocky River opening. Took done time but they lost one game two years ago and then that coach was let go. Not sure if it was the same principal. Next coach left for a much better job after one unless than stellar season. Then the Young debacle.

Coaches will still stay away. They'll be the new Marvin Ridge, 4 coaches in 4 years after letting Chadwick go at Marvin Ridge.

Trust me they have athletes, coaching n technique is a major problem. With so much happened the scheme is jus too complex. They have players over there.

They always have had the players too, lack of consistency at coaching has killed them since Knotts left. Also hard to replace a guy like Knotts, he was the best to ever do it in Charlotte.

Talked to a former Dutch Fork guy who played for Knotts. He also worked for him after college wrestling at The Citadel. He said they were so lucky to have a coach like him come down. Nothing but praises from the young man and his dad.

Gotta feel a little though for the kids that had nothing to do with the insurrection. As for the parents and assistant coaches who were involved- hahahaha. CMS will pay in the end. Hope Young gets enough for a Florida resort second home and more.
