that Sowell is nothing but a turd. The game was over, his last act as a college football player was an attempt to wreck someone's knees.

What a jerk.

I guess I dot completely know the rules but his toe came down in bounds before his heel hit the line

but Ole Miss is somehow going to be better next year? AND Logan Clair. That's a big hit. Ole Miss' next chance to get to bowl eligibility is going to be in 2013 when their line solidifies.

catch it, and only their tips of their toes are in-bounds and it's a catch. <div>
</div><div>In other words, I think you're wrong on that. Whether Donte Moncrief was in or out, I don't know. They reviewed it, so I assume they saw where his foot hit simultaneously or something.</div>

be a bad football team again next year, but it won't have **** to do with Tank Washington or Logan Clair. Tank lost his spot to a freshman walkon last year, and I'm not sure if he started more than a couple of games this year. As for Logan Clair, he might have gotten in on 30 snaps all year. I agree on 2013, but somebody has to step up on the D line too. Both of Ole Miss' lines were fat, slow, and soft.

The UM offense, to me, was very stagnant, and, well, terrible until Mackey took over full time. His ability to move opened up alot of holes. And then to lose 4 OL from that, well, I guess it truly can get alot worse.<div>
</div><div>I see talent on the defensive side of the ball, albeit just here and there.</div>

I didn't ignore it at all, but the fact that you mentioned 4 people, two of whom were buried on the depth chart, and characterized their loss- all of 4 of those people-as a "big hit," is hilarious. Logan Clair....are $*$*!+@ serious?

ETA: I think Josh Tatum and M. Brown are gone too on the OL. They've played a combined 20 snaps, but they're probably major losses as well.

How is that any different than someone dragging a foot? It's usually only the tip of the toe that drags before going out of bounds. I'm happy he was ruled out of bounds, but still not sure if it was the right call.

I can't see the Bears going to a Bowl game until 2014 at the earliest. 2012 will be rough and I don't see 2013 being a lot better. 2013 is when you go to Austin as well.

Your thoughts?

The rule sucks though. Google heel toe football rule.

A toe drag is in bounds. But a toe in, then a heel coming down OOB is ruled OOB. Makes no sense, but that is the rule.

The schedule won't do us any favors next year, and I think we'll be somewhat like State in Mullen's first year. I expect to see some improvement, but it won't translate in to wins. 6 wins is probably the best we can do, and I would probably be happy with 5. I'm hopeful for 2013 because of the youth on the roster, and my confidence in Freeze's system. Ole Miss needed a system, any system. Nutt was schizophrenic, and that resulted in the Masoli debacle and our offense or lack thereof this year. I think with time in the system Brunetti, Wallace, etc. could be serviceable enough to get to 6 wins. Keep in mind, I'm just talking bowling, not contending for the west.

prior to any other body part touching the ground, the entire foot has to be in bounds. it is considered a continuos action. If part of the foot touches the ground and is followed by a second part of the body touching the ground (with toe drag, typically the knee), it is a catch. The second touch being out of bounds ends the play.

My story starts off like this. I am a huge wrestling and MSU fan. Yes a wrasslin fan. Well I bought the belt in july and knew the first thing I wanted to do with it was be at the egg bowl. Well I wore it in the junction on gameday and sure a lot of fans saw. I know a lot stared, took pictures and did the discount double check sign to me. Well I took it in and set in section R. As soon as we scored I took it out and immediatlely people started pointing staring and wanting more pictures. Everytime we scored someone else noticed and pointed. Finally in The Fourth quarter I went to the other side of the stadium. Well the past 2 egg bowls at home me and my two brothers had managed to get our picture with the golden egg so we figured we might do the same but the rain came down. I make it to the other side and people we pointing staring and cheering. Well Allison Williams (sideline reporter for ESPNU) asked me what in the world I was holding and I told her it was a title belt and I replied would you like to see. We exchange pleasantries and she said stick around were gonna get picture of it. Well few minutes roll by and me and me older brother made it on natonal tv and within 30 seconds our phones and facebook pages were instantly hit. To sum it all up it was to Show TSUN that we were the champs once again and having fun all around. Will wear it again in the future so be looking out for me.

First thing. No way on God's green earth do you all sniff 5 wins next year let alone 6. Your schedule sux and you dont haveany talent nor depth on the OL and DL. Secondly comparing your 2012 to our 09 is stupid. In 2008 we were one year removed from an 8-4 season and had two one point losses to Auburn and UK. Grantedall anyone remembers is the 45-0 cluster in the Egg Bowl Championship game but that team was made up with a lot of players thatlet us to the wins the last two years orthey are on an NFL roster. Now compare where you all are to where we were in 2009. You guys are coming off a 2-10 year with NO close loses, including your 2nd 0-8 in the SEC in the last 5 years(let that stat line sink in), coupled with the fact that before thatin 2010 you were 4-8 and had only one SEC win. If you want to know what you all willook like in 12 look no further than theCroom years of 04 and 05.Just cause I am nice I will make it eaiser foryouso you dont haveto use google/ We were 6-18 in those two yearsbut we had a much better defensive staff than what you guysare putting together which at least kept us competative in some games.

Realisticlly I think you guys are 4 or 5 years away from bowl talk and it wont be Freeze taking you there(history says that three years is your max time frame for a coach). Dont belive me thats fine, but look at all the attrition you guys have had, with more to come, and then look at your OL and DL that is where games are won, and you just dont havemuch talentthere.

noses up to you for it. It's sortof like the LSU fans in pimp outfits at games. Have fun wih being at a college football game instead of being so damn conscious of anyone looking at you.

/I actually like that some OM fans go overboard with their tailgates. Chandeliers and butlers and ****.

Sowell and Washington were Seniors this PST season. Massie is leaving early. Hawkins tested the water, but will return. Logan Clair was academically ineligible this past season. Tatum has had too many concussions and can't play anymore. Brown suffered a pretty significant slipped/ruptured disc in his back and won't likely play anymore, either.

The funny thing is om fans were saying how classless our players acted at the end of the game and how dirty we played. I quickly pointed out "all-American" sowell on the last play. however, they claim it was justified just because they were losing and it was in no way classless or dirty. For god sake our third string was playing at the end. I'm sure they were fired up to get to play in a rivalry game and sorry but if you think that is classless you are an idiot. Pathetic sore losers

I'm pretty sure Ole Miss is not nearly as bad as they looked this year, just like MSU wasn't nearly as bad as 45-0 looked, but UM's schedule just doesn't seem to be set up for 6 wins. If Freeze gets to 5, I'd be ecstatic as an UM fan. I wouldn't be upset at 4 wins as long as there is improvement and UM was competitive against everybody but LSU and Bama.

Serious question.

How many QBs is Bucky going to sign this year? He has 4 on the roster, paper says that Miller is now coming back, Bethard is still a commit, Liggins was 'wined & dined' over the weekend and you have Bo Wallace 'joining.' That would be 7 scholarship QBs + a walkon.

Barry Brunetti
Zack Stoudt
Randall Mackey
Evan Ingram

+ Jeremy Liggins
+ Mikhail Miller
+ CJ Beathard
+ Bo Wallace
