Obviously, that's something that Perkins cannot do. If we aren't gonna

use Perkins in the passing play then Griffin needs to be in the game.

I think we should try Perkins at slot and work griffin in at RB. Then if we run a little hurry up offense we have two back already on the field and when griffin gets tired move Him to TE/FB. Just my opinion.

Who was that saying Griffin was doing a great job in pass pro the last few weeks

Oh yeah, that was me.

I believe he has been in on just about every TD drive we have executed the last 3 games. That should tell you something.

Wow. Just wow. That was an incredible block. And it was worth about 20 yards in field position because Russell probably gets sacked if he doesn't make that block.

Nice to see Griffin getting some playing time. I think a lot of players would have gotten discouraged from losing PT to younger players, even coming off an injury. Haven't seen him a lot before LSU, but even in limited plays I thought Griffin has looked like our best back the last three games. The other three obviously bring things to the table that he doesn't, but especially against big athletic defenses, he seems like our best option.

Good to see he finally learned how to block....

in a few games earlier this season he allowed Tyler to get smashed....

tellin ya... we need to run him between the tackles against the bears. If he runs with the authority he did against the LSU dfront he will eat omu up.

I know a lot of us think Whitley has slacked off this season, but on a 3rd and short he blew up copeland #44 to kill the play and force 4th down. #44 is 6'1" 270 pounds. It was a hell of a hit but went unnoticed because it wasn't in the open field.

Why is Gabe and Clausell cutting?

...people should look at this and realize how far we have to go

The left side of the line cut block because there was quick slant or some other short route on the left side so the d-linemen have to be taken down to get the pass over them. The throw right was a check based on the coverage LSU was showing. We still have some improving to do but even the LSU's and Bama's of the world still cut block for the short, quick routes.

Bigdawg26 is right. Alot of times tackles cut block to create passing lanes to prevents tipped passes and also if you're overmatched skill wise it's the great equalizer for OL. It creates hesitation in a very good DL that one play could be his last if he doesn't (in his mind) slow down. We actually cut both ends for the majority of the game I loved it.

No doubt Nick has earned more touches, but I would be willing to bet if Perk is healthy against Arkansas, Griffin gets 1 carry for 9 yards and never sees the field again. Hope I am wrong.

i didn't see the short pass or slant, thanks.

I was hoping we weren't just cutting because they couldn't push them

That wasn't the only play. He did that often. I said to myself, "He's not on the field because he's learning to pass block. He's already got that down."
