Looking at the Ed-WRH game on NFHS I really think our defensive line is bigger and stronger. Friday night will tell where we are. I think we can agree on that g-dog08
I thought the wrh-ed game was decided by early momentum swings. Dogs started game like we were gonna blow off the field (up 13-0) then came the fake punt that everyone but our coaches and defense knew was coming. Next was the long play right before half definitely shifted mo. Then as easily predicted, they got the second half kickoff and suddenly we were behind. Our coaches don't believe in opting for the ball in second half. Now credit should be giving to the ed defense for makin the adjustments to pretty much shut us down. Otis, if your defense can do that yal will win. We gonna have to score 30 pts to win. At least.
Something I saw that WRH better be careful of doing is going for it on 4th down. If they give us a short field it will be a long night for them. North Pitt was bad about that. We beat them 33-7 but I really thought they were much better than that. Onside kicks and going for it on 4th down cost them dearly
ED defense isnt what slowed WRH down. EDs slow moving offense was the difference. Only had 5 possessions all game.

You're wrong gdog. We had the ball 6 times and scored 3 times. That's 50% of the time, which should be enough to win, but not that night. B4 u question it, i just watched the game on nfhs.
I recommend field goal. And punting. Our kicker has a good leg.
my whole point is I think EDs offensive approach to keep WRH offense was more of a key to them winning. There defense was one of the best we faced all year (MB was probably the best). But once WRH had the ball they scored as you say 50 percent of the time.
I agree that they achieved their goal of ball control. I'd like to think it would be different if we play again. U would think scoring on half ur possessions would be enough to win
I am pretty sure our offense will score 80% of the series. Speed will make the difference. Our offensive line is pretty solid. Our defense has a big opportunity to step up. Our down lineman had a good game last Friday. The bulldogs will be highly motivated Friday night.

What difference does the WRH/ED game matter, it was the only game of distance on y’all’s regular season. Oh I see y’all think there’s going to be a rematch! Never happen!
For one thing you’ve underestimated the team thanx basically won the ECC for three years before y’all kicked them out of the conference and West Craven getting little respect at all, I think WC has a good chance to play St Paul’s for the eastern championship , but we’ll see.

WC has the best defense IMO but I dont know if they have seen a back as good as Roberts. I dont know that the WC offense can match WRH score for score and WRH will score. It is hard to prepare for those wing-t teams if you do not see it much. Its obvious the Eagles have some great players up front but the motion, misdirection and pulling WRH will do and how well they do it will be problematic.
WC has had a great season and Twichell has done a great job but I have to go with the Bulldogs. Debating on going to this or the Clinton-ED game.

The two games I watched them play were NMB and Kinston, I saw lackluster defensive efforts in both games against subpar teams. That’s just my opinion and I know you DC guys don’t agree. I can assure you that I’m not alone when I say Wrh does not field a good defense.
Going to be real quite on Friday evening after this. Wrh is coming with fire, will run the ball down wc throat all night. No secret here, hope they can slow it down, an get a few turnovers. Game could be tight. But wrh rollsssssssssss. Ottis Jr and goobs will be signing autographs at the gate as well....
And both of those teams mixed it up. Against ED, a run first team, WRH gave up 24 points, so I'm not buying that they don't play any defense. Remember that game against NMB was a last minute game, not much preparation for it, and Kinston is a team full of athletes, who lost to ED with seconds left to play.

could possibly lose tomorrow. So if that were to happen then it would suck, and suck bad but at least I went into the game knowing we could possibly lose. When Tarboro moved down to 1A, everyone thought that they were going to kill it easily. WRH went to Tarboro in the 3rd round and beat them. When WRH moved up to 2a, and had to play your Eagles in the playoffs, you know what happened. I don't know any serious WRH fan that does not respect West Craven and especially Otis. We are confident around here cause we have one of the best ever rushing and scoring offenses. Wouldn't you be? Everyone knows how to stop us and it's not anyone's defense.
