It is obvious that this kid was dealt a major disservice by those who were suppose to protect him. It should have been obvious to all truth tellers that this kid wasn't ready for the NBA. He obviously needed another year at UK. The one team that really needed a point guard was the Wizards and they said no.

He can still go first round and get his guaranteed contract. And who knows, if he came back and continued to have injury issues it could have hurt him. Very, very hard to project whether coming back is a net positive or not for people.
I thought it was one of the dumber decisions of the Cal era by a player who could have come back and made himself a ton of money in the next draft.
I bet Washington feels like it is over. His decision has cost him money unnecessarily because there was money for him at UK.
Only some UK fans would sit here and say well the guy wasn’t top 20 but he still made the right decision.

you would’ve thought they learned when letting Quickley drop. TyTy will out perform his draft position just like him.

Got some bad advice. I never quite saw it. His soft body and lack of athleticism obviously dropped him like a rock post combine.
You get this far down you start worrying if you’re even going to go 1st round. Guy could have gotten more guaranteed NIL money.

I just never thought TyTy would be an early draft pick. He is slight, injury prone and only a fair shooter.
But I do think he would eventually be a fantastic college player and make quite a bit of NIL money. And there is nothing wrong with that.

You absolutely have been saying it for a while, you took some heat for it too. You were absolutely correct.
He just didn't demonstrate the toughness that is needed at the NBA level. When he failed to complete his work out with the Wizards, that was really bad for him because it reminded the scouts of his injuries at UK, in my opinion.

I’m questioning the people in his ear giving him bad advice, these blood suckers and hangers on are not good for anyone. And it’s part of the Kentucky culture now. I feel bad for him.
This is ugly. With the injuries he had and now this I bet his stomach is sour right now.

Maybe this will be the thing that will wake up these young UK players. The fact that Cal wasn't there should have alerted fans that Cal saw this coming.
