Okay not saying you’re wrong but that is one helluva long negotiation delay. Last regular season game for both teams was November 26. He wasn’t hired until January 7. And Schiano has been quoted as saying words that I stand by myself. “You don’t fire unless you know his replacement.”
I think Kirk can get it done. But I don’t think he was top or first.
I think OC KC was approached and said no. He uses our offer to get a raise.
Then we went through other options and struck out.
Then we went back to KC with more money and swayed him.
I don't personally care about him initially saying "no" but some people usually have a "only want people who want to be here" mentality. Maybe they don't when HC Schiano is involved?
Regardless of the process, I'm much more concerned about OC KC being on the list considering how run based his offense was last year and appears will be going forward.
