If that’s true, then he will 100% figure out how to win a game or 2 the rest of the season. We are going to find out. The big problem now is that even if that’s true, he might be almost certain to be much worse next year. Yesterday’s result is going to make it very difficult to convince boosters emptying their wallets for a roster next year when all the data suggests it will yield no fruit.and you have to accept that. Dan Mullen won 2 SEC games in Year 1. And went 8-4 (4-4) in Year 2. And Dan Mullen also didn’t have to face 100% roster turnover with little funds to replace them if the boosters didn’t believe he could get it done. The situation isn’t comparable.I agree. This is what happens when you hire a new hc in the SEC. Mullen blew games too yet many of yall talk about wanting him back.
Yea he pretty much nailed it. Refreshing really. That must be tough for him to write, but it shows we got big problems.I think Robbie Faulk’s article sums it up nicely as far as our fan base is concerned.

This, plus the fact that we have only two run concepts at most. This offense is also not not designed or built to grind out a 17 point 4th quarter lead. It’s uncomprehending to me. As much time as they spend together to coaching and teaching to not have this ability in your arsenal. These play fast offenses have a built in problem. They have trouble killing clock. It's almost like when a defense that normally attacks goes into prevent and starts giving up big yards. Trying to slow the offense just seems to hinder their ability to operate. I remember fussing at Mullen during games when they would snap the ball with 10 to 15 seconds still on the play clock when we were ahead. We did that in this game at the end. We snapped the ball with 20 seconds left as our lead was getting whittled away multiple times. Those given away seconds matter. They need to work on huddling to help eat up the time because standing in formation for 30 seconds is hard. It just seems to kill momentum.

Neither did Croom. Real talk.Excerpt:
Q: You mentioned staying together is the only way to fix this. Are you sensing a lack of togetherness?
Lebby: I’m not at all. But I want to make sure I’m driving that home. You get inside moments like these with the way things have gone at the end of football games, and for us to be on the wrong side of it, people can start pointing the finger in a hurt. So making sure I am driving that point home. We’ve got one way to fix this and that’s being together.
WTF
Does this assshat ever take responsibility for both his and player’s stupidity? What does this coach speak drivel even mean this far into the season? You’re saying your team doesn’t understand continuity in week 9?
How does “togetherness” remedy bad play calls, poor clock management, and poor fundamentals?
bad bad bad bad bad coaching
No, he didn’t. L4Dubmass just has a room temperature IQ.You forgot to switch accounts before replying to your own post.
Those three SEC schools we loss too either has overrated talent or we have underrated talent, but we have the talent to beat those three schools. We have the talent to beat Missouri, Arkansas and Ole Miss.We all know we are improved. The question is if it’s good enough. Especially compared to our personnel. Our personnel is good enough to be 7-1 obviously (and Lebby gets credit for that). But we aren’t, we’re 4-4, due to coaching.
That’s a problem. Ask Bubba Napier.
You don't think giving up 24 points in the 4th quarter had anything to do with it?We win yesterday if not for the roughing the passer
I've decided he's (maybe she) just a troll because nobody can be such a forgiving homerYou forgot to switch accounts before replying to your own post.
Correct. Those are the kind of things that happen when you are trying to break out of where we are. Teams in our spot find a way to lose, until they don't. You can either keep on keeping on until it happens, or you can quit. Our guys so far haven't quit.L4 Dawg, we are much improved, the little things are killing us. We has them stopped on 4th down on their end of the field…roughing the passer. The game would have been over, but Texas gets the ball back. Low, long put to the middle of the field…the old out kick our coverage thing…Texas scores. Those things cannot happen.
They will in Fayetteville next weekend.Correct. Those are the kind of things that happen when you are trying to break out of where we are. Teams in our spot find a way to lose, until they don't. You can either keep on keeping on until it happens, or you can quit. Our guys so far haven't quit.
So we will quit and wait for the next savior then? You are probably right. That's what we have always done.If that’s true, then he will 100% figure out how to win a game or 2 the rest of the season. We are going to find out. The big problem now is that even if that’s true, he might be almost certain to be much worse next year. I mean, if Lebby finishes 6-6 with a win over Ole Miss, I think most people will be fine with bringing him back in 2026. I would still see some red flags and expect him to be fired at some point before the decade is over, but I won't be demanding it happen immediately. They will in Fayetteville next weekend.
But they’ll get up just enough to beat a distracted Ole Miss team and your goon squad hivemind will give Libby an extension.
I don't think he is talking about the team.Excerpt:

So he coaches them to rough the passer, Miss tackles, drop passes, and miss wide open receivers in the 4h quarter. Get real. Coaching has put us in the position to be 7-1. That's all coaches can do, put players in the position to make plays. The plays have to be made. If we keep fighting it's going to eventually happen. Hopefully the team doesn't quit like this board has. So far to their, and the coaches', credit they haven't. When you are this close it's not the time to quit.We all know we are improved. He apparently hasn't taught them not to do those things. So he coaches them to rough the passer, Miss tackles, drop passes, and miss wide open receivers in the 4h quarter. Get real. I only have one active account here. That y'all think I might have more than one says more about you than it does me. I wonder how many you have. No, he didn’t. L4Dubmass just has a room temperature IQ.
He is probably correct. We were about to get the ball in great field position. Another score would have killed them off.You don't think giving up 24 points in the 4th quarter had anything to do with it?
Nope, I'm just not a quitter, especially when there ARE definite signs of improvement. Some of y'all have never come to terms with just how bare the cupboard was when Lebby got here. I'd say what he has done this year is one of the better coaching jobs I've ever seen at MSU. I was far from sold on him going in to this year, and was far from sold on him when we were sitting at 4-0. I was expecting us to get run off the field in every single conference game. That hasn't happened. We have to stay the course for now. Do that and I think we do come out of this. Quit and we are right back to square one again. Rinse and repeat.I've decided he's (maybe she) just a troll because nobody can be such a forgiving homer
I actually agree about it not being time to quit. But I’m still going to make fun of your shame rant.So he coaches them to rough the passer, Miss tackles, drop passes, and miss wide open receivers in the 4h quarter. Get real. That is just such a bizarre thing to say, even from a pro-Lebby perspective, after these last 2 weeks. Lebby's coaching cost us these wins. Most competent coaches don't blow them.Nope, I'm just not a quitter, especially when there ARE definite signs of improvement. I read his reply as saying they would quit in Fayetteville (meaning probably not compete, and lose), then somehow beat OM to finish 5-7.I mean, if Lebby finishes 6-6 with a win over Ole Miss, I think most people will be fine with bringing him back in 2026. I would still see some red flags and expect him to be fired at some point before the decade is over, but I won't be demanding it happen immediately.
