So you're going to answer dodge my question with another question... I'm not going to play that till you answer me first. You said you'd much rather take hire better coaches, recruit better players, and win more games as if it were mutually exclusive.
Have you forgotten that once upon a not too distant time, we were considered a coaching graveyard? The fact that we're drawing attention to ourselves and showing that we can win is proving that tagline false. We have better coaches, we have better talent and we are winning more games on top of bringing attention to us which is why I said a Saban-esque hire because we've already made minimal improvements, but a hire of that caliber is one of the only ways I can think of that just brings the type of resources that you speak of on it's own.
How the 17 do you think we're going to be able to recruit better players and get better coaches to help us win more games without drawing attention to ourselves? We don't have the money to make those types of hires right now and keep them. Our tradition is a losing tradition and that alone distances ourselves from recruits. So again, unless you see something that me and many others aren't seeing, answer my question. How are we supposed to run your model and just build our success that way when our program has to fight just to keep our head above water? Unless you have some revolutionary yet simple idea... like it or not, but we're going to have to go out of our way to do things to get noticed.
