Selmon is going to end up being one of our better ADs if he stays a few more years. I don’t think guys you like realize how bad the department was under Cohen. Changes don’t happen overnight.

It's a joke. He's done a pretty good job. I've always preferred a business guy over coach type. I ragged on cohen plenty how he had no business doing it. Selmon outside of lebby has done a good job. Lebby may pan out. But still not smart as his first hire out of the gate when football pays the bills and needed a good hire

I have a co-worker who is in tight with some big OU donors. He says we need to have a short list of candidates to replace Selmon. Selmon is getting a hard look.
Yeah my wife's family are Sooners or at least half of them. So I hear plenty of it. I think there are some good candidates out there. The whole purpose for Selmon coming here was to see if he could run a smaller sec program and make good moves so he could go back.
Still thinks he looks like one of the guys from Devo. Solid hire for sure.

Most of the players wanted the FIU guy that went to Florida with Zimmerman and fought hard for him. But it sounds like this is a very solid hire.

That could be a problem if the new guy doesn’t win them over pretty quickly. I think they’ll like the hire though. They’ve seen first hand he’s a good coach.
Well that’s not their fault or the athletic department so nothing they could do. We offered him but he went with Zimmerman.
We’re going to lose some players on this too, likely some going with the coaches. Hopefully not many.
