Indirectly related...am curious which team Sherrill thinks will win and which one he would like to see win. He would probably plead his fifth amendment rights. I remember Darryll Royal admit categorically that he was pulling for Texas when we played them. Jackie would probably straddle that fence.

The Kang was on Stricklin's radio show this week

Referred to MSU as "we" and "us." Said he'd be wearing white. I'd say he's pretty clearly ours now.

Wasn't Jackie run off by A&M?

After writing that, I clearly see the irony in that statement. But as far as I'm concerned, wasn't it bad blood between A&M and him when he left?

Granted, I'm sure a couple of us weren't his biggest fans at the end, but he's a celebrity and a hero here, whereas there he's just another coach they had who got them in trouble.

I kinda think that Jackie will be pulling for us. He still reportedly maintains contact with the coaches and team, and he has tickets to our games not far away from me. He's not always there though. And he's farther removed from A&M.

I was never sure ... was Jackie fired at MSU, or did he resign on his own (not "resign")?

Probably safe to say that his entire career was shaded with clouds about what he did and what he didn't do...and let it go at that.

He and who I presume is his family have club level seats. There are several of them, and some kids. I guess grandkids.

I thought you were married to her and I'm being serious.

I figured the football team thing was just a rumor.

Jackie resigned from A&M under pressure but to most Ags he's a legend. He turned the team around and made us a powerhouse for a few years. After Jackie left and went to State, I started following the Dawgs and pull for them in every game except against A&M. The schools seem to have alot in common: colors, Jackie, tradition, spirit, military ties, etc.
