North Surry had an easy schedule as the WPAC was very down this season, and as far as non-conference goes, all they had was East Surry & Mount Airy and they luckily got East at the beginning of the year. The MA game was an embarrassment for North.

I know it's playoffs but there were some tough draws. Not sure what can be done to improve it. The kids that play at most of these schools work just as hard as the ones at other schools, but success at many places is more luck than anything in regards to the talent you receive.

Polk is a dangerous team in November. HC Bruce Ollis has over 200 wins and has a playbook thicker than a $100 steak. He just switched his offense to the flexbone midseason, and it has made the wolverines much better. I'm not so sure Mitchell would have beat them if they had switched it up against us.

I remember Polk County coming to play East Surry years ago when we were undefeated and a number 1 seed and they were the 16 seed. They played us tougher than anyone had all year. We were up 14-13 with a few seconds to go, they call a time out almost as time expires and kicked a FG to win 16-14. One of the first times a 16 seed beat a 1. Hopefully Polk County can beat a #1 seed again this trip to Surry County.

My thoughts also. I have said several times East Surry would probably beat East Wilkes. I am hoping Mount Airy & East Surry make it to the western finals. Would be great to have an al NWC western finals. Come on ESOD, you didn't mean that . ???? I always pull for all the teams in the 3 conferences I keep scores for until they meet up with Mount Airy , then Bears all the way.
