Nah, I was shooting tequila with Roy in Raleigh the whole time.
In all reality we started hot, QB went out it hurt us, couldn’t get anything going, defense played well most of the night, the Beaver twins for Elkin are exceptional football players, they were all over the place. We would take 1 step forward and 2 backward most of the night, the plays were there for us to win just didn’t make them. Next week with Ashe is now a must win to have any shot of a conference title

Cherokee's kicker is pretty decent but was on the sideline in street clothes tonight
Alleghany's defense played great like usual. Defense has really kept us in games this year. We blocked a punt and recovered it for a touchdown. 2 more touchdowns came from having short fields off turnovers caused by our defense. Defense caused like 5 turnovers tonight. Offense did pretty good. Our starting qb/free safety(sophmore) was out with a concussion and will be back next week. Our backup QB(also a sophomore) did a good job tonight filling in for him, and a player moved up from jv this week did a good job filling in for him at safety. We have a lot of sophomores on varsity. More than I can remember in years past.
Only had 18 players dressed out tonight same as last week. Only real negative was special teams. Missed 2 of 3 extra points. And u still have to hold your breath everytime we punt the ball. I think that's why we go for it so much on 4th down is bc no justifiable faith in our punt team. Snaps has improved on them though.

We've had a murder's row schedule while most other teams have had easier outings.. we had to endure it for what it was. I woulda loved to had a random non conference team on the schedule but we weren't allowed it
Walkertown and NF have improved so much in a couple of years. Week 1 sucked as a result but we've improved so much in two weeks. Week 2 woulda been totally different if we hadn't had so many hurt kids but it is what it is. Last night we finally found our offensive ID in the 2nd half and minus some errors we coulda had more points.We are a work in progress but I really enjoy these kids. The older kids love the younger ones and the younger ones work hard and are willing to learn.. for a rebuild you can't ask for nothing more.
Next 4 weeks will be more fun because the kids get up for these games plus the time change and hopefully better weather after next week. Very excited for those games.
I disagree, Taylor knows what he's doing up there at NS, 3 games don't determine if a coach should be fired or not. Or at least it shouldn't be. Things will get better.
There lone All-State player transferred to East Surry, and there starting QB went down week 1.
No KW, he gives us another hour now, we can drink all the way till 11pm now. then The craziness starts
So COVID doesn't wake up until 11:00 pm now. Maybe it will go to sleep for good soon !
To be perfectly honest with you, I am usually sawing logs by 11pm, 5:15 am comes early.
Not far behind you usually. Heck I'm out at 9 some nights.
East Surry got off to a slow start and didn't score until the 7:23 mark of the 2nd Qtr and 21 points by halftime and 49 to zero points for the game. I wonder if the coach was trying something different to start and changed his game plan in the 2nd Qtr or did it take that long to figure out Bishop's defense ? Also will North Stokes & Bishop be fighting to stay out of last place ?
Do you involuntary take an afternoon nap falling asleep watching TV and sleeping 2 or 3 hours ?
Sometimes on Sundays. Especially if I'm up late on Saturday.
I do and several times a week after sleeping 9 or 10 hours the night before. Usually Fri. Sat. and Sun. afternoons.
