Same Sheriff, his name is Mitch

I think Biden would be best served to just ignore Mitch (one of the most hated politicians out there), rule by Executive Order, let Mitch and the Senate take you to court, then use their own words against them in the court of public opinion. Lose a case, appeal it over and over again to get a favorable ruling.

Trump was brilliant in that he used the courts to just gum up the works. Trump wanted to redirect Senate appropriated funds to build a wall...Biden should do the same with Progressive interests.

The beauty of conspiracy theories is that you've already decided they're true. Anything that doesn't exist can be evidence to prove your theory, and anything that does exist is just falsified and trying to keep things covered up.

They definitely set themselves up for this. Biden is too moderate to do this despite what the propaganda says.

Have some friends here in the ATL considering leaving seven-figure jobs because the firm where they work might represent trump. Afraid it’s an ethics violation and will ruin their crediblity.
The lawyers he does have are already backing off what they are claiming when filing these lawsuits because they don’t want to get disbarred or sanctioned for lying. I sure hope the money is worth it to them if they even get it.

Just can’t figure out why people would vote for an 80 yr old career politician for President, when he has never done anything positive at all during his time in office. He did make his family rich. Trump is not ideal but he is way better than Biden and his liberal ideas. This country is in big trouble if Biden gets confirmed.

Most of the country obviously disagrees with you.

He’s not 80

Does it make it even more surprising to you that educated people overwhelmingly disagree with you?

What's actually right is not determined by consensus. I'm perfectly ok with and expect the country to disagree with me, to me you are treasonous fools and will have to ask forgiveness. The country will survive though so long as there is a real check and balance in the senate.

But I don't know, you're still not happy after you've won. You've been burnin', lootin' and murderin' in the streets for months now, setting up your own little break-away city states, maybe your hateful, racist, violent lusts have yet to be fully satiated.

Your media sanctioned conspiracy theory now is that Trump is cleaning house for his military coup. Maybe this one will pan out for you unlike all the others.

Does it make it even more surprising to you that educated people overwhelmingly disagree with you?

I have asked friends why there is as sharp a division along educational lines on Trump, as has ever existed to the benefit of Democrats.

One suggested those who had studied history enough heard disturbing echos that others might never had heard of:

(1) Trump Convention speech, 2016, "I am the only one who can solve these problems."

Disturbing echo: (a) "Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Furor;" (b) Neitche's "Superman."

(2) Trump on Covid and the election, September, 2020: "Maybe we need to delay the election."

Disturbing echo: Reichstag Fire.

And that is just the beginning, as he has directly re-tweeted Mussolini and other right wing extremists.

Serious question: what percentage of non-college graduates could identify Mussolini?

I’m thrilled.

You still haven't explained why education causes (or correlates) with Biden support.

It's because people smarter than them exploited your arrogance against you.

That’s one theory. But isn’t it more logical to think people with more knowledge are less likely to be exploited?

No, exploitation is based on appeals to emotions, not reason.

That's why you are so angry.

"This country is in big trouble if Biden gets confirmed."

A Publican friend of mine told me that if Biden gets it, "the cities will burn, and Covid will kill hundreds of thousands."

I said, that is happening NOW!!

Ability to reason does not come from the acquisition of more knowledge. Your side (America) lost.

But we will try again for you in 2024.

Who are the “people” and then who are those smarter than the “them.”

Given you have never met me, what do you presume to be the source of my arrogance?

I was using the impersonal plural you since you were talking about groups.

If we are talking groups, my determination is that all of you as a group are treasonous fools.

Maybe if you took some classes you’d change your mind. I don’t know. It couldn’t hurt.

You're wrong though. It is over. Biden's lead in PA is more than the number of votes remaining to count. That's even with the few hundred ballots not included in the count that were segregated because they came in within the 3 day grace period.

Even if Trump comes back to win AZ combined with the 0.01% chance he wins GA in a recount, it doesn't matter. Biden's at 279 with PA and NV.

Now, if you're saying he'll win because of ballots getting thrown out due to voter fraud, there's been zero credible evidence of widespread voter fraud. The Trump campaign is like 0-13 on their lawsuits so far. One in NV was dismissed today as well as one in PA where they were arguing over 500 ballots. The USPS whistleblower legally recanted his claim that he was told to backdate ballots. There's no way there will be enough mistakes, glitches, and tiny amounts of fraud (all of which happen every election) to make a difference.

Face it, bro. Biden won.
USPS whistleblower denies report he recanted voter fraud claims

If you actually spent any time with those elites you fawn over, you'd know they hate you too just as much as you hate your uneducated neighbors.

I work with a multi-national corporate clients. I live farther than 20 miles from the nearest city of more than 5,000 people, on a farm.

I neither hate my uneducated neighbors, nor believe your defined elites hate me. Some of them pay me for advice.

Your war on “elites” is unfortunately ironic in the context of this thread: the worst of the “Right” stirred the Volk against the presumed arrogance of Free Masons, Jews, professors, clergy, and even the military.

The Communists railed against many of the same, but focused upon the wealthy capitalists and elites in their rise to power.

It is an echo . . . .

I fear not the “elites,” the wealthy, the poor, my neighbors or any other straw men used by those who wish to frighten me.

By every definition, Washington, Jefferson, the Adam’s, the Lee’s, Franklin, Madison, etc. etc. were elites, who guided us upon the beginning of this experiment.

I do not think they despised the common man. Among the greatest of our forefathers, Hamilton, alone, warned of the “Great Unwashed Masses,” insisting that the “masses are asses.” Ironically, Hamilton was born of a questionable heritage, and certainly closer to those he despised than were most other leaders of his day.

You don't have to prove to me you are educated or not full of hate.

But 2020 is 2020 by exploiting hatred and division for ulterior purposes.

The term "elites" is being used for all wealthy people but there is a huge divide among them. Biden got support from actors, athletes, tech people, and others who are first generation wealthy. They got their wealth from a skill or notoriety but mostly grew up average.
The elites who backed Trump were generational wealthy. Much less limelight, much more wealth, much more influence under the radar.
