Hill say:

The terms and conditions of the athletic grant-in-aid are as follows:1. Signing and accepting this award, this student confirms that he or she has not signed a grant aid agreement with any other SEC university.

2. A SEC athletic conference grant-in-aid agreement may not be signed by a student or parent(s) prior to the applicable national letter of intent initial signing date for the sport indicated above.

3. If this agreement is issued prior to the NLI initial signing date the date of issuance shall be the first date of the NLI signing period.

4. If the student or parents fail to sign this agreement within 14 days of issuance it will be invalid. In that event another agreement may be issued.

5. Recruiting activity by all SEC universities not included in this agreement shall be cease upon the agreement being signed by the student and the student’s parent or legal guardian.

6. The total amount of financial aid received shall comply from the provisions of the NCAA bylaw 15.1. Acceptance of financial aid exceeding NCAA limitations may result in a student being ineligible for athletics competition.

7. NCAA bylaw 15.3.4 shall govern reduction or cancellation of this grant in aid during the period of the award.

8. In accordance with NCAA bylaws 15.3.5 an institution shall notify a student regarding the status of this grant in aid.

9. The receipt of this grant in aid is subject to the student for fulfilling the applicable requirements for admissions, initial eligibility, and financial aid for this institution, the SEC conference and the NCAA. The student agrees to be bound by and to abide by determinations and by the requirements rules and procedures of this institution, the SEC and NCAA concerning his or her eligibility. The student further acknowledges and agrees that this institution, the SEC and the NCAA, may make different eligibility determinations. The student must be deemed eligible by all three entities to compete in intercollegiate athletics.

10. Signing this agreement, the student acknowledges he or she understands, SEC bylaw 15.01.2, which prohibits another SEC member from awarding him or her an athletics grant-in-aid for two full academic years if, after signing this financial grant-in-aid, the student is eligible to receive an athletics grant-in-aid but chooses not to enroll in and attend the institution listed on the document for at least one full academic term period.

Now, is he of legal age to sign a binding contract?
Did his parent sign, otherwise?

Was a consideration paid for signing?

Oh well...it is Bama.

Brandon Hill signed an SEC agreement when he went to Hargrave that binds him to Alabama. He didn't know what he was signing but it is what it is. He cannot go to another SEC school.

Ole Miss was not aware that this new rule that only applies to prep school players excisted until Bama sent the letter to OM the last few weeks.

Brandon now has to enroll at Alabama unless he goes to a non SEC school.

Give Bama their props. They were on the cutting edge of thisnew rule and took full advantage of it.


Yancy is making it seem like he can't go to OM because he signed something when he FIRSY went to Hargrave. But he actually signed it in December:

"Hill, who verbally committed to Ole Miss in November and publicly said he was switching back to Alabama late last night, was apparently done with the recruiting process after he signed the paper in early December."

Fact is, Hill wanted to be at Bama. His family wanted him at Ole Miss. This was a pretty close battle last year and another one this year but the kid got what he wanted. Key is, this agreement, if I read correctly, was signed early this month--not last signing day. It is fact based spin from Yancy. I'm sure Ole Miss would like to claim he didn't know what he was signing but if that was the case I find it hard to believe anyone would force him to go to Bama against his and his family's wishes--after being 'deceived'.

Don't assume that everyone knows what you are talking about. Who is Fancy's and who is Hill? It's like starting watching a movie when it half way finished.

Yancy was wrong- Hill signed with Bama in December to be an early entry. It had nothing to do with what he signed out of HS

Exactly. His LOI is all he signed last Feb. That is thrown out of the door after he doesn't go there. (See Liggins)
He signed a "Financial Aid Agreement" or whatever it is called early December at his OV to Bama.

I have no idea what this "SEC agreement" is that Hill signed when he went to Hargrave.

There is no "SEC Agreement"- once he goes to Hargrave- he is fair game. But the Hargrave coaches do encourage players to stick to their original teams

Fancy is Yancy Porter

and comes dangerously close to a rule violation. Hill is a recent ole miss decommit.

Sounds like OM committed some violations in recruiting him. If he signed with BAMA- they were supposed to hang it up.

It's all propaganda. Hill wants to be somewhere that will win. Plus, I'm sure he'd rather play for Saban, rather than a girls basketball coach.

34, stop embarrassing yourself. reggie has it 100% correct. yancy is right about the agreement but the kid wanted to be at bama. the flip frankly didn't surprise any of us who know s**t about ole miss recruiting. its been possible to probable that we lose hill from the get go. i wish we could have held onto him and he's doing what he actually wants to do, but your continuing to try to make yancy look bad here is just making you look even more silly than you do naturally.

No, you're wrong on this. Coach34 is right. Reggie is right for the most part, but it isn't "fact based spin". Yancy straight up lied.

Think about it. NO WAY Hill sticks to something he doesn't want to do. You can't 'trick' someone into signing with you.

meaning no disrespect to msu124, i'll take the c-l, ajc,sec rules et al who agree that this "rule" does exist over ya'lls. and i fully acknowledged that the kid just wants to be at bama. the "rule' is at best an excuse. but yancy's explanation of the rule is not incorrect, peaches. (seriously?)

So, anything that Hill signed with Bama became void when he did not qualify. You with me? Him not qualifying immediately made him a FA again.

Now, what Hill did was sign something a few days ago on his visit to Alabama- Hill signed his financial aid agreement on December 7th during his OV to Bama when the actual flip occurred and that was why he couldn't go to Ole Miss.

What he signed DECEMBER 7th is what kept him from going to Ole Miss. It had nothing to do with the Fancy lie that he signed something while at Hargrave


If you cant understand that, then your just a dumb mf'er and I'm not wasting anymore time on you
