AC Reynolds is a great team this year. Year to year teams change. Names dont. Chambers is not the team they were last year, and next year the dip will be even more significant. They still have the name recogniton but not the same team.

WC is representing the QC by default only. Lol. Next years team will be much better. If not a fan have KM by 14. As a fan u root but it will be tough. The fresh qb has gotten more comfy and the defense will compete. If u need meck info ask nepsy, btango or myself. Lololololololol
I am aware of year to year change. That’s basically my point earlier when I referenced Charlotte teams. Most Charlotte fans think that there are not teams that can compete with Charlotte teams outside of Mecklenburg County. That’s irritating to everyone outside of Meck County. Also Charlotte losing great coaches to higher paying states/programs is having an impact on the quality of product on the field.
Charlotte should produce the most talent, it’s the most populous city located in the most populous county in the state. Also the way kids in Charlotte flock to the “it” schools in Mecklenburg County is a story within itself. It’s cyclical when all the top talent goes to 2-3 public schools and the rest of Char-Meck public schools have to work with whatever they have. It’s what the AD is cracking down on. I have coaching buddies in Charlotte at the middle and high school level and also a couple of friends in Administration. I am pretty plugged in to Char football. I expect MC and WC to benefit from the slide of Chambers.
I know of the freshman quarterback because one of my friends coached him in middle school. He is a decent basketball player also. I think Coach Greiner will have WC competing for a championship in 2-3 seasons. He has to rebuild the foundation first and keep the really good middle school players in the WC school zone.

difference is the QB's KM will herrass the young QB all night. KM front 7 will dominate this game. 35-14 KM

Watched the WC vs Chambers game. WC is a good team. Fast and aggressive on both sides of ball. Defense is really good. Running back is really fast. We will need to play clean and play well to win. I may have trash talked Bigdadd a little to soon lol.

First real competition KM has faced since the SP game. KM wins this game to play EL next week, which will be an exciting game to watch!

For KM to be successful in this game they have to do one thing and it’s keep being the 2022 version of KM. This team has been nothing but impressive. If they GATA on D like they have done all year along with balance on offense they win big. I don’t see anyone beating them and that isn’t arrogance from being in this county. I have went to as many KM games as any in the County and each time they impress me more.

When you talk about a team being able to beat KM I definitely think it can happen. Before you get bent out of shape though, hear me out. This is the most complete KM team I have seen.

Aside from penalties, turnovers and bone headed decisions like not throwing Paysour the ball in OT against catholic…the main thing I see that can hurt KM is a team that has a big AND good o-line. If you have a line that can hold the KM DL up for about 2.5-3 seconds consistently, then you can throw it. KM secondary is their weakness and I don’t think it’s close. Might be their only weakness to be honest.

I think kings mountain wins this one though and moves on.

Don't consider it trash talk. Everyone has a little fan in them and its ok. LOLLOL. KM should be favored as they are a great team and WC offense is avg at best. Just looking for a great game. If WC can survive the first quarter they will be ok, but they must establish the run. LOL. Will be very hard, but its a must.

You also have to remember WC lost its QB in the preseason, then lost another, then #8 started the year at QB, then #1 went to QB, and now the freshman is the QB. Say that to say this, KD has greatly improved and gotten more comfortable as the season has progressed. Cant wait for this game will be fun. But make no mistake KM is the clear favorite.

Coach Greiner seems to be fired up for this game. We know WC will be fired up early in the game.
Sometimes when you have injuries to key players and have to play young guys early that jumps starts your program for the next season. KM had a ton of injuries last year and were forced to play multiple young guys early but those circumstances last season helped jump start this year’s team. KM was literally down to their 4th, 5th, and 6th string running backs last year at WC. We also had multiple defensive players out to injury last year. Playing a young guy a qb probably slowed the Lions progress as a team but it will definitely have a big impact on their future prospects. I would love to see WC move to a 3A athletic conference in realignment myself. I think that it would do their program and 3A football well.

Is WC the only 3a in Meck County ?

Wouldn't expect WC to be 3A after next realignment. Remember they were getting new school so enrollment was held some. WC is resurging and doing great things. The new school is beautiful. WC 9th grade class this year is athletically and academically strong. Would expect the numbers to be steady 4A.

Coach Greiner is building something special. Hes the perfect fit. Once he gets depth, and few more skill athletes WC will challenge for top dog in the state. Ranson looks good. If WC gets 50-75% of those guys and some JMA guys they set. Good times ahead for WC.

I’ve definitely heard about all the athletes at Ransom Middle. I thought JMA mostly fed into North Meck? Also the upgrade in athletic facilities will serve WC well.

North Meck, WC are both IB schools in violet zone so ranson, piedmont and JMA can all potentially fed into WC, or NM for IB. As a homeschool you are correct JMA feeds NM and Ranson WC, but there is some potential crossover with the IB programs.

Its the IB middle schools. You know how talent hoards at certain HS? Same for certain middle schools. Piedmont/JMA/Ranson can get any child in the entire violet area for IB. The same area that feds MC, Chambers, WC, and NM. The only one thats full is Piedmont. You ever wonder how Chambers/MC stay loaded? Tons of talent in this area. WC/NM tons of talent for basketball.

If Piedmont/Ranson played a MS championship it would pack most stadiums. Also remember James Martin was almost unstoppable for a while too. Not as much now though. Academics push these IB schools. That was the advantage WC had in the 70s - 90s. It was a great academic school so more of your affluent parents and great athletes would matriculate there. This is why Piedmont is loaded. Best parents, best athletes, and great academics.

Hough is the only guaranteed loss I would give KM. KM beats Independence easily. MC and Chambers this year would be toss ups and dog fights. Also the non conference wins WC have over Harding and Garinger would not make our jv’s break a sweat. All playoff football things aside I am actually a fan of WC’s sports history. I remember watching Brian Knuckles and the great offenses WC had under Coach Knotts, Coach Hardin, and Coach Gilchrist. The first state championship game that I seen in person was WC vs Garner. I also remember the battles with Richmond County. Also if this was basketball than I wouldn’t be saying sh_t because I know what WC do on the b-ball court lol.
WC vs Garner? What year? Harding played Garner in memorial stadium in 87 I think. Knotts was the HC at Harding.

I already stated that I mixed WC and Harding up. I was thinking about Coach Knotts coaching both teams.

Those Tommy Knotts WC teams back in the day. Would beat the piss out of you.
When Crest beat WC in playoffs at Crest with Knotts coaching I felt like Crest turned a corner with moving to the next level. I thought that it put the state on notice that Crest had arrived as a powerhouse. That was a really good WC team that lost that night to Crest. Coach Knotts was the first coach that I can remember that would go for it on 4th down on his side of the 50 routinely.

Wilkinson is Hwy 74….. runs through Belmont, Gastonia, into downtown KM …. Take Left after the Hospital. A lot of Stop Lights but at least you keep moving. 85 is unpredictable ….. Or 77 to 40 W 221 S to Forrest City And 74E through Shelby to KM…. I’d leave now😎

In normal traffic I'd say go for this. Thought I was a genius going around stopped 85 traffic and about 1000 extra cars were with me on this stretch.

74 is a longer commute because of traffic lights but I would probably take that route today. There is another route through SC from Charlotte that is much longer but traffic keeps moving at least.

the left after Hospital at the light will be PHIFER ROAD- you immediately pass US ARMORY on your right and KMHS is about half a mile also on your right.

Coming from Charlotte rowards KM on I-85 SB, I would likely take Sam Wilson Road exit, turn left until you got to Hwy 74 or take the Loop SB. You don't want to turn off of I-85 SB at either of the Belmont exits as there will be a rush crowd from Crest heading south. Just watch those stoplights in case one of their SB mules gets caught in the intersection and tries to interrupt your WB travel.

I drive to Dallas everyday down this very route. I’d stay on 85. Almost always is still the fastest through Gaston County. 85 would have to be trashed or completely shut down to outrun it on 74. This didn't used to be the case but I can promise you it is now.

Would there happen to be a livestream of this game that is NOT affiliated with that play for pay NFHS network?
