Will be played at West ,both JV and varsityDoes anyone know where this game will be played? It says at Pisgah on the schedule but both Tuscola and Erwin have home games next week. Will it be a home game for Pisgah at WH?
Nope, JV game will be played at Bethel Middle School on Thursday. Will be played at West ,both JV and varsity
It is our home game ,that's the reason the JV game is at West.Nope, JV game will be played at Bethel Middle School on Thursday.
Varsity game will be be played at West, but it is Pisgah’s home game. We will have our press box crew, Bear store, etc there.

I know what I am talking about, and you are wrong! We had to play the JV game at West last year due to the wet conditions at Bethel Middles field. So West agreed to play the JV game at Bethel this year. You can drive to West if you want on Thursday night, but nobody else will be thereIt is our home game ,that's the reason the JV game is at West.
Sure you do.Thanks, but I don’t know about the seating

No, no, Pisgah Bears will bring the game to us live (in his mind) at West on Thursday. Thank goodness he looked it up on the local papers website, which doesn’t have the most current update on schedules.Jv game is at Bethel.
I was going by the schedule. Big Bear is usually right. Would be a lot closer playing at Bethel .Want have to drive to West two times and that is good.Yeah, be sure to do that. You can run the press box, chain gang, referee, and coach both teams too

Lol. Big Bear and I get our info straight from Pisgah. Posted the correct info above to start.I was going by the schedule. Big Bear is usually right. Would be a lot closer playing at Bethel .Want have to drive to West two times and that is good.
Well, FEMA didn’t let us start doing anything to the stadium until July 18th. In previous years, community members would have jumped in right away and got things moving. But FEMA has a strict set of guidelines you have to follow, or you don’t get their funds . So starting that late, pretty much settled that we couldn’t play games in the stadium this fall. The turf has been ordered, and could be on the field in the next few weeks. But the fencing, electrical, and plumbing are not close to being finished. Hate it, but can’t do much about it.On a side, but related note, It sure is taking a LOONNGGGG time on that stadium repair. While walking by Thursday I saw one lone man with a shovel standing beside a pile of gravel 15 feet high. I wonder if that is the method they are using to get the field ready. I might be a little impatient but it sure looks like they are taking their own sweet time with the rebuild.
The game is at bethel. He knows what he’s talking about. But drive on over to west you WILL be by yourself!Sure you do.
Why do you care your a Tuscola guy?On a side, but related note, It sure is taking a LOONNGGGG time on that stadium repair. So does that mean he can’t ask?Why do you care your a Tuscola guy?
Are you taking bets on Friday?Either way, Bears win Thursday and Friday.

Old Pisgah grad that doesn’t care one bit. And we have to use your stadium in a week couple weeks and you and everyone else won’t like it and you know it wait till the announcer starts saying let’s get your growl onSo does that mean he can’t ask?
Actually no one gives a ****. Except of course you.Old Pisgah grad that doesn’t care one bit. And we have to use your stadium in a week couple weeks and you and everyone else won’t like it and you know it wait till the announcer starts saying let’s get your growl on
What other location do you have in mind? How much would it cost for the land, and a stadium as the size we have now? $5 Mil, $10 Mil? Much More? Where do you get the money? Do you raise property taxes or sales taxes? Do you issue 30 year municipal bonds? How long would it take to build? 2 yrs? 3 yrs? More?91, you are not wrong. No one cares. You probably wouldn't have to use everyone's Stadium if you quit building and rebuilding in a flood plain. Hot tip, it is going to flood again. Of all the things the Haywood "Canton" Board of Education rigs in your favor, they are finally screwing you on one after many years. That place should never be re-built again in the current location. Why you don't get a new stadium somewhere else is baffling to say the least.

So your volunteering to start the go fund me for the new stadium land purchase. Thanks! The places that would be a good place for the new stadium are as follows: none.. the people that own the land do not want sell the land. So enlighten us as to how you build one without land. Behind the school at the practice field. No. See above adjoining landowners DO NOT wanna sell.91, you are not wrong. No one cares. No. the last flood destroyed a grass field (Francis and Ivan) Took damn near as long to fix THAT as to put in a turf field. Plus all the upkeep. If there was a suitable place to put this stadium in a cost effective manner, it would already have been done.I just wish they still had the grass field, probably would be playing on it this year
It didn't take 2 years (more like 11 months) and from what I remember the hold up then was getting clearance for the integrity of the home stands. Just a shame that between the "pandemic" and Fred 3 straight seasons have been impactedNo. the last flood destroyed a grass field (Francis and Ivan) Took damn near as long to fix THAT as to put in a turf field. Which is the reason for my original post on this thread regarding the length of time it seems to be taking to get this facility up and running. Kids lives are irreparably impacted by these (I believe) unnecessary delays. Now, if we are to understand, the $$ is there. WTF is the hold up? Specifically? Though not a construction expert, I am not convinced that there is all that much electrical or plumbing damage that cant be fixed in less than a year. AND at the same time (or before) they work on the turf. Wouldnt this be fair to say? I DO know that fence can be replaced in a week or less. (As It was the last time when the new (now old) turf was put down a couple years ago.) I keep seeing PILES of gravel on that field and nobody there doing anything (except for that one dude with the shovel) If I were quick enough to take a photo of that guy in front of that pile of gravel it would have gone viral. If it weren't so sad it would have been hilarious. It didn't take 2 years (more like 11 months) and from what I remember the hold up then was getting clearance for the integrity of the home stands. It isn't the damage. The replacement electrical and mechanical are being required to be raised up 10 feet by FEMA. There are logistical issues in getting the work done. Tried getting a contractor lately? Most guys I know are booked into 2023.Which is the reason for my original post on this thread regarding the length of time it seems to be taking to get this facility up and running. A local contractor has been hired to do the electrical and mechanical repair. Once all the material has arrived, they will begin begin working. It isn't the damage. I have been doing a bit of inquiring about this situation and have learned a few things I didnt know. FEMA doesnt release money in full, it trickles in, based on each step in the process. WHEN each step is satisfactorily completed (to THEIR standards which also delays the process, I am told,) the $$ for the next step will be released. Which raises some other questions: What are the steps FEMA has laid out and in what order? Seems to me they skipped the very first "step" which is clean up of the 1FT of mud on the walkways and inside visitors rest rooms locker rooms and even the visiting concession stand. (I didnt see the home side but assume it is just as bad.) You cant construct anything over that mess seems to me. IDK how accurate this information is but when I was actually involved in the last flood (FRANCIS and IVAN) 20 years ago roughly, that is how i remember the procedure more or less. This time FEMA has added some caveats like the raised electrical and mechanical (and I am sure some others) as they dont like paying to rebuild over and over again. The town hall I understand wont be paid for to be rebuilt again, and most likely the theater across the street.A local contractor has been hired to do the electrical and mechanical repair.
