If not for penalties, this would be worth watching. It is hard to keep interest when you have 200 yards of penalties on average. (I really don't know the average, but that stat would be a state leader. Every game I have had, Albemarle has pushed the 200 marker. It has killed many of their bright spots.)
Penalties have really hurt this season....I don't know how to stop them...They just get worse every game..We have beat ourselves more than the teams we played...Very frustrating for the coaches I am sure......
Mental toughness is the reason for all these penalties. This is the most penalized team Albemarle has ever had that I can remember. They've been practicing since Aug...you would think they got it together by now 
Like I said, there will be no room for excuses next year, 90% of the team will be Juniors and they got 7 months to prepare after the season is over.

I believe the penalties come from a "losers mentally"....These kids start losing get pissed and the penalties just get worse..Aslo I think the refs look at us for penalties more than the other team....JMO

I believe when they get down, they tend to overthink and make mistakes. They have to learn understand that there's 4qtr's of football and one mistake isn't gonna make or break them. They have to get that outta their system quick.

Albemarle has finally started over. This year has to be deemed a success for the Bulldogs. The 2015 and 2016 seasons were a disaster in so many ways. I think the Bulldogs have vastly improved this year and should only improve next year if they can keep the talent interested in playing football for the Bulldogs.

I have seen a team get a personal foul penalty before the game ever started. It was marked off before the kickoff. At least we haven’t done that yet
