It would more than likely be Walkertown in the 2nd round if I had to guess. Walkertown has a bunch of students (2AA size) and will have plenty of athletes. We are in good shape if we play like we know we can play.
Go to maxpreps and search pine lake prep and check out their hudl highlights. I checked them out a couple weeks ago.

Agreed, super impressed with our defense last night. Coaches deserve much credit for that as well as the players.
Never know with this WM team. Very frustrating too watch. Penalty after penalty, counter left counter right counter left counter right. Dropped pass here dropped pass there. Time for this team to get their s### together or they'll be out again like last year. I'll give them credit when its deserved. Prove me wrong and I'll shut my trap. Warriorpride out......
Are you serious? You've made quite a few comments that are very negative. If you have issues with West and the coaching staff keep them to yourself.
I kinda thought this thread was for WM fans to have some fun and discuss the possibilities of what is sure to be an exciting playoff season. Not get attacked by fans of other teams or our own fans. Given East Surry's recent playoff history I would be worried about a 4-7 team in the first round too. Best of luck to everyone. This place is getting ridiculous.

Seems like WarriorPride has been bitter lately. Maybe Eddins was just trying a few things on EM in preparation for the playoffs. He ran some plays that EM couldn't stop but he only did it a couple times. Maybe it was by design. Do you y'all really think EM "ran out of gas"? Maybe the Warriors just shifted gears when the time came.
I was thinking when everybody was talking about Murhpy being 1AA that they may be the team to win the state. But now it looks like it is W.Montgomerys to lose. They have to be the favorites. The east is overrated in my opinion. The best team in the east lost to Rosewood for goodness sake lol.

After seeing this East Surry team for the first time Friday night this is by far the most talented team in pilot mtn in a number of years , what separates this years team from years past , besides the talent level is that they are playing with a point to prove. They are playing for #27 , his death was a tragic loss for the community and this group of kids and parents , very tight knit group of kids on this team , they have a purpose. They haven't been challenged this year , I think you will see their schedule was a little better than thought , Starmount , West Stokes, Walkertown, Mt Airy , yes the Rams and Bears are very young , but neither are bad , Walkertowns record means nothing as they played a brutal schedule, they seen the best west stokes team since their state title, brutal rivalry to boot. They might not win anything , and yes it is one game at a time for them , but realize this isn't your typical east Surry team , this is a very scary team to play this year, and that's coming from a Diehard Bear fan
Yeah rosewood came to play that night and JK didnt. Either way the state title comes back to the east and it will stay in Duplin County. I can't see anyone beating JK or WRH. These two team are way to fast for anything out west. Just check the huddle videos and you will see!
I was responding to the WOW, I can't believe WM fans are looking ahead, we would never do that at East Surry, on a thread for WM fans by a WM fan. I heard this morning that Jo Leake had surgery this weekend . What injury and what time frame for his return ? ( if true)
Will come down to East Surry and W Montgomery in my opinion. Quarterback at East Surry is the best I've seen this year and he has a lot of good players around him.
Go back and read my comment WMFootballFanatic. I never mentioned WM. I wasn't attacking you and still aren't. I respect the WM program and it's posters. Yes ES looked ahead last year and got embarrassed. They won't make that mistake again. Guess I should have explained that and not assumed you or any others would understand that! Enough of this "good ole boy, love our fellow man". It's playoff time, every man for himself time. But seriously love this bracket, top side is power football and ball control (Starmount, Swain and EW) bottom side is speed and finesse (ES, WM and Wtown). Let the crap fly.

Not sure about the exact surgery, but I heard he may only be out about 2 weeks. Please don't quote me on this...my source is just a friend of the family and I haven't spoke personally with them.
Yeah I heard 2 -3 weeks. Hearing people talk about Walkertown , he could really be missed in that game.
Tyreke Christian is a really good running back and has played really well this year too. We also have a secret weapon in waiting. Next man up! It can't be really serious with Jo or that tweeter thang would be on fire right now.
Quality depth is a mark of a champion. And besides, I heard somewhere that the teams trade 2 games to prepare for when they play. That would mean if we can survive West Columbus and Walkertown then East Surry would have no film on what is more than likely the conference player of the year. I'm fine with that.
There is film everywhere on everybody these days. Its called Hudl ( although I guess it could be limited in some cases)
This is the worst possible time to have Jo out...but I agree with Fanatic, we still have Lomax, Christian, and that "secret weapon". Hopefully everyone will step it up a bit...and I am sure Eddins is prepared for such disaster.
