Back to the game west defense vs east offense is going to be the thing to watch the wide receivers don't get much action so hopefully the great corner play for West we will be a waste wide outs do block good though...both slot positions will be key for East if the can get open and Watts have time to throw the ball to them...another thing to watch will DE press down to get to Mckinney or will the stay home for when Watts keeps it...I hope for a great game good atmosphere and for both teams to stay healthy for the playoffs...Montgomery County make noise this is something we have never seen before 10-0 vs 10-0

I think that the development of WM's linebackers, getting healthy on the D line and the emergence of the secondary will certainly make it difficult for the buzzards. West Montgomery's defense also is one of the best in shape in 1AA. Look at the time of possession in every single game. West's offense scores fast and that leaves the defense on the field for a majority of the game. So the theory of ground and pound and wear out the Warriors defense is just that. A theory. If West is scoring every time they touch the ball and the only answer the buzzards have is to feed McKinney all night they can chalk up loss number 41. They have to get creative in order to win. West Montgomery needs to do only what they have done for the last ten years. Play Warrior football. The one thing that concerns me is how and when the flags will fly. Hopefully it will be game played by the kids and not the clowns in the striped shirts.

I agree about the flags, I have seen some of the worst officiating ever this year. Im afraid the #3 and #9 duo from WM will greatly slow the passing attack of EM, therefore the EM O line will have to get the upper hand on the WM defensive front. I told someone earlier that I believe Watts will have to get 60+ yards rushing for EM to win. ( which he has the ability to do) The EM defense is better than most are giving them credit for on this board. The front 7 is a very, very good tackling team and the secondary is smart as well.

If it comes to brute strength in the trenches I believe the advantage will go to the Warriors. East hasn't played a physical team like West Montgomery yet this season. The front four won't be manhandled. That'll open up the lanes for the LB's to fill. McKinney will get his for sure. Key for WM is to not let the QB get loose or complete the chuck and duck passes in the middle.

Really boring. I think everyone is so uptight that not much is being said. Feels like the calm before the storm with Germany and Russia in WWII lol. All hell breaks lose tomorrow night

Treat the EM RB like WM did Antonio Williams in the past and force Watts to be a passer and things will get out of hand fast. I'm not trashing anybody, just saying the Warrior Defense is FAST! They won't give Watts a chance to pick them apart like some teams have. Maybe I'm wrong but I see WM winning by atleast 3 TD's based solely on the Warrior Defense! This game could be close in the First Half but Halfway through the 3rd Quarter WM will switch gears like they always do and pull away! Dozier, The Jo Show and DR will put on an Offensive Clinic!

24 hours until we find out how this one will go down. Cant make any predictions because I have no idea of how this game will play out. I will say that it is very likely that no matter the outcome tomorrow, these 2 teams will see each other again in the playoffs.

Finally something we agree on..... Unless em gets sent to the West and Mitchell/Mt. Airy get them I could see round 2 being another big game. I think with all the rankings and 100+ more students em should handle the Warriors pretty easily. I didn't realize em had gotten so big. I'm saying em should be a 7 - 10 point favorite easy. I just hope the Warriors can make a decent showing.

Based on the more students theroy , It must have been a huge upset last year when Mitchell beat Walkertown ( a team that hung 63 on a unbelievably strong D for WM). I still don't know how that happened.

I believe they were emotionally spent after the season that was supposed to end in Winston Salem ended abruptly. Don't get me wrong, Walkertown was a machine that night. Not the same team that played Mitchell for sure. Not a damn thing West did went right and not a damn thing they did went wrong. The players who were on last years' team remember that feeling and they have discussed it with the underclassmen. If you lose you don't want it to be on your home turf. With another 2A team coming into town tomorrow night it should be a good test for West when the 1AA playoffs start!

Oh, congrats to the JV Warriors. Considering West has quite a few sophomores and even a few freshmen starting that JV team must be frothing at the mouth to continue thumping those buzzards. I think from the pee wee leagues all the way through the high school level the buzzards know their role!!!!

more students may give EM an advantage in soccer but no advantage at all in football. Im sure everyone commenting on this already knows how this student population breaks down. So it looks like to me you guys are preparing your excuse early just in case WM loses.

Students are students. What are you trying to say em91? Please elaborate. It's basic statistics that with 100+ more students 1/2 being male and 1/2 of that being upperclassmen then obviously 3-5 should be football players capable of making the team and a difference in a game vs. a smaller school. No excuses needed. The higher ranked 2A school should be more concerned since they are the favorite to win if they lose. West Montgomery's only advantage is home field and coaching. The rest is on the high powered buzzard offense and their 2 D1 prospects at the helm. WM is led by a couple of seniors but a majority of the rest of the starters are underclassmen with quite a few freshmen starting. This is em's year. If they lose to WM, well, they may as well mail it in for the playoffs as well.

Even you are smart enough to know what I mean. You can say what you want but your 2A comments have no merit. Sometimes you have to look beyond the basics. Either way there is no time for this conversation. Its game day. Good luck to the Eagles and hope both teams stay injury free. My last post until after the game got to get back to work.

Agree with that one. You don't ever hear Jordan Matthews complaining about that do you there em91? I'm heading out to meet with some fellow Warrior faithful. Everyone travel safe and bring plenty of sauce. Buzzard on the grill by 10 pm!!!

Smack talk over, good luck to both teams and here's to a special night for the fans, coaches, and especially the players who I pray come out healthy and injury free, and realizing how special of an experience this is regardless of the outcome.
