Games of the Week
Gold
Addison Trail (3-2) @ Hinsdale South (3-2)
Hinsdale South is out for revenge after last years devastating loss 17-14 after not being able to convert on 4th & 1 on the goal line. AT is coming off back to back close wins against Leyden & Willowbrook. Both teams HAVE to have this gam, in my opinion it is for the conference championship because I believe DGS will beat Willowbrook when they play later in the year. South is back on track after falling asleep at the wheel. Both defenses better be ready for this game, they will both have their hands full. I'm taking South in this.
The spread is South -5.5 and the O/U is 42.
Silver
Hinsdale Central (5-0) @ Glenbard West (5-0)
The showdown of all showdowns, might be the biggest match up of the season so far, IMO it is. I'm going to go with Hinsdale Central on this one and here is the reason why. In order to beat GBW you will need a QB who can throw the ball. You're not going to beat them running 40 times a game in the Wing-T, they'll dominate you and swallow you up. I think HC has the QB to do it....OPRF as well, but we will wait for that match up when it happens. It can obviously go either way and picking HC was not easy. I personally do not think there will be as much scoring as everyone else does.
The spread is Glenbard West -1.5 and the O/U is 62
