I believe if Cottrill goes off as the unknown, then WVU wins this game. KU has seen everyone else explode including Gabe the last game. But Cottrill has done nothing. If he can be a surprise today and actually put the ball in the basket, we can throw them off for a little while and have some hope.

If we turn over the ball, and go through a 4-8 minute scoring drought, blowout city. Hopefully we avoid those two things.

He's got too much skill to not be performing at a high level. His injury last year really put him behind. Hopefully he and the fans are patient because I believe he can be a superstar in the future. Big man that can dribble, shoot, and can defend (although this and rebounding has been his biggest struggles).

I agree that his injury has put him way behind mostly his confidence in his own body. If he can get that back, the coming years will be a little sweeter. Although we will have a new team next year for the most part. 7 seniors is a lot.

cfe made a post so disgusting in another thread that I don't know if I want WVU to win another game.

I'm in quite a predicament.

So, the HCs don't need masks. They assistants do. The players on the floor don't need masks. The players on the bench do. The refs don't need masks. The cheerleaders do.

Lawrence is so desperate to be the San Francisco of the Bread Basket that all logic has been lost in the cornfields.

We have to have someone to defend the paint. We are getting killed in the paint. I was hoping Cottrill would take off today but he is playing the same as always. The other two look overmatched in the big twelve

I am tired of watching a team that has bigs with zero offensive skills who refuse to rebound or play defense. These guys make Phil Collins (remember him) look like Bill Russell.

I don't think it is poor coaching as much as these guys that are new don't get the big 12, especially now that it is more like the old big east with these defenses. Hopefully they get better the second time around. Curry is definitely stepping up and that helps, but we need Cottrill to become that 4 star player he is supposed to be. Gabe is starting to look for offense, but we need Cottrill to step up.

WVU needs to report opponents to the NCAA. Every team we play cheats team at halftime. Adjustments aren't allowed. And what's this witchery of STOPPING the game when the other team is doing well and making scoring runs? How is that within rules? Aren't you supposed to put players out on the floor let come what may? And coaches are only allowed to yell at the refs, right?

Sherman is hurt and should not be in the game. He is limping and struggling. Now at least Curry is looking like a driver now. That can only help as we move forward. Cottrill needs to sit next game and watch. He is struggling and needs to watch the game and have a coach right beside him telling him what is going on.

Pathetic effort in the 2nd half. Losing is one thing but walking back in transition, which we’ve done time and again, is inexcusable. We have one player (Curry) busting his butt and a bunch of guys giving it a half-a$$ed effort.

Poor play and poor effort on the field gets blown back on Brown and his staff, as it should.

The same should apply on the hardwood. The players quit, physically and mentally. A cursory look to the bench and you'll see an indignant coach moping around, raising his arms and shrugging his shoulders with a petulant, apathetic "wtf" mannerism. He won't even call a timeout during 3 minute scoring droughts or 10-0 runs. It's just condescending body language directed at the players on the floor and indifference when the team is saved by the TV timeout.

Is HCNB coaching our team in the 2nd half? Sure looks like it. Can’t imagine a Huggs-coached team could give so little effort and hustle.
Teams reflect coaches. Huggins watches opponents go on 10-0 scoring runs without timeout. He watches his team go 4 minutes without a FG without a timeout. He whines at officials during TV timeouts instead of addressing his team. He seems more concerned with haranguing than coaching. Any objective observer can easily see this. Compare him to Calipari or Bennett or Self or even freaking Jamie Dixon. They're watching the game and actively coaches their players in the moment. Huggins just seems to watch the game and when a player screws up, if he isn't yanked immediately, Huggins raises his hands like like he's saying, "are you that fvkcing retarded?"

For all the sycophants, just watch when he take a player out. Does he ever stop the player and actually coach him? And don't tell me he's too focused on the court. If other HOF coaches can do it, so can he.

Booo hoo hoo...

What you said is utter crap.
Which part is incorrect? Does he not consistently let opponents go on massive runs without a TO? Does he not consistently allow his team to go cold from the floor for minutes at a time? Does he not routinely spend an exorbitant amount of time bitching at the refs during TOs vs attending to his players? Does he not typically ignored a player that he yanked as he's coming off the floor?

He called time out after 9-0 run. They didn't respond. He called time out after the run in first half they didn't respond.

What coach doesn't ***** at the ref?
Player playing piss poor should be ignored when coming to the bench. He knows what he did wrong.
When you become a coach let me know.
You are doing nothing but bellyaching. That's not criticism.
