Can't wait to see if WVU has Purdue performance or Xavier performance. Both were losses but Purdue defeat didn't leave a sour taste.
Trying to figure out why you want to see a repeat of either one of two losses. Maybe you are into moral victories and don't understand the concept that a loss is a loss. Next you'll start comparing scores.

This team has all of sudden forgotten how to play defense. They won't win the big games if they don't play defense as well as score.

Navy can shoot. If we weren’t shooting over 70% this would be a different game right now.
We are helping off shooters, which is NOT what we are supposed to be doing. At the D-1 level, good shooters will knock it down 75% of the time. Just don't help off a shooter. Pretty simple. Pretty basic. Covered in the pre-game prep. But if guys don't pay attention, then what can you do?

WVU in the lead nearly all of the first half. But our performance is perfunctory, enough to beat an average Navy team, but need more intensity with smooth ball handling down the road and in the 2nd half.

Navy’s on a run. We’d better be careful.. I thought we were gonna win by 40 the way the game started.

WVU free throwing shooting:

10-16, 62.5%, about the national average.

But Bell was 1-4, Wague 0-2, accounting for 5 of 6 misses!

Rest of team was 9-10, or 90%!

In crunch time where foul shooting becomes critical, keep that in mind about Bell, who had 3 points, and Wague, who had 2 points.

Those campaigning for more Wague floor time should look at the numbers.

Scoring leaders were Mitchell with 19, Stevenson with 13, Toussaint with 12 and Johnson with 11.

WVU won easily, 85-64, never trailed after 2 minutes and 24 seconds were played in the game.

Navy is very average except for their sub-6-foot shooter.

WVU is 7-2 (4-0 at home) with understandable loss to Purdue and perturbing loss to Xavier is OK considering the competition.

Good enough to win tonight, maybe against Alabama-Birmingham at 6 pm Saturday on ESPN+, Buffalo at 5 pm Sunday on ESPN+ and Stony Brook at 6 pm on ESPN+.

Then comes the Big 12 games which will more than this perfunctory, perdestrian, pleasant W . . . I want more fire and aggression on defense and smoother passing on offense, which wasn’t a problem against the Navy zone.

Actually, their best player was Nelson and we held him in check. He came in shooting over 50% from three point land and was their leading scorer. Get your facts straight. As a team, they are top 10 in 3-point FG's.

Favored by 18 won by 21. Job well done. NEXT.

Maybe that is the bar for you peasants who accept mediocrity. I expect such dominating performances that opposing basketball programs close down. Family members of opposing players fall ill. Dead former coaches of opposing programs roll over in their graves. Stadiums collapse, home's explode, cats and dogs living together ... MASS HYSTERIA!!

I do not think that is too much to ask.
