This defense is the best in years. The offense is the worst but better than last years. Only because we can run.
Way too early to draw these conclusions. The defense hasn't played an offense with a pulse yet, and Leddie Brown and improved O-Line play make this year's offense at least as good as last year's offense, so far, anyway.

Oklahoma State. Before you can say Texas. Ou they have yet to play a defense.

The same Oklahoma State team that played with a true freshman at quarterback, and scored 16 whole points against Tulsa the game before WVU? LOL...no. Both Oklahoma and Texas have much better offenses than the Pokes' offense, and Iowa State's offense appears to be better at this point, too. Of course, neither OU nor Texas plays a lick of defense, so there's that...

The D is still playing in Vic Koenning's system and he brought n some good players. I hope we find a really good replacement next season. DC by committee is only going to work so long. Even promoting one of our guys who worked under Koenning would be a decent move. Love this system of D way better than the 3-3-5 circus we've been watching so many years.

We already have good replacement DC on the team. 4-2-5 not much different than 3-3-5. Both can bring deception and pressures. The difference is better d line and safety play. Plus coaches calls are more aggresive than previous staff. Plus these guys can tackle in space.

2nd half, confidence booster.

Yes it's Kansas but Doege will show more improvement when WRs quit dropping obvious catchable balls.

Team game

Well I hope he turns out to be NS 2.O.
No such name. WVU will have very hard time making a 4 team playoff due to politics of college football. If it's pushed to 5 or 8 then yeah there's a chance. But winning it all takes a lot more than what WV can muster up.

Had a return for touchdown called back in EKY game also. Two in 4 games is more than enough...unless there is a problem...that still needs corrected.

It's called don't play your 2nd team on special teams when you get ahead. Keep the same guys out there that you had.

Honest question posed to Allen, as I didn's see the game. Did WVU use its second string kickoff coverage unit when EKU ran back the kick for a TD, but was penalized on the play? I wouldn't have thought so, given that the return happened relatively early in the game, but don't know for sure.

That return was due to a hold. Next case.

So Allen you're saying the Mountaineers have such a severe depth problem that to function the team has to play the same 11 on every kickoff? Good to know from a keyboard insider.

Most teams do. ST players are usually the 2nd stringers looking to prove themselves. Except for the return guys who generally are just the best at returns no matter where they are on the depth chart.

If you're a WR and can't catch a cold, a RB that doesn't know where the hole is ...... you can still be a return guy if you can catch a P/KO without dropping it, have speed and make the first man miss.
