Hickory vs North Lincoln- Hickory should be favored.

Statesville vs East Lincoln both programs suffered a tough loss to start Conference play.

I am calling it right now. Foard will end their losing streak vs West Iredell.

North Iredell vs ST Stephens- could be an interesting match up.

Glass said a couple of years ago that is one of the reasons he liked the matchup with Hibriten as it helped to prepare HHS for North Lincoln's triple option. I'm sure he will have his team ready.

I'd hope FTF could win soon. I'm not sure they expect to win them themselves. Will East Lincoln tank against Statesville like they did after their 2023 loss to Hickory next week?

This is getting to be retarded about moving games up Thursday. Just like last week. I notice that Statesville hasn't looked very good the last 2 games after the win against Lake Norman.

That’s true. They move games up and the system may miss altogether or the rain could come on day early and miss Friday. Use to be back in the days they played in the rain unless it was really bad.

North Lincoln Hickory game oughta be interesting. Of course I’m favoring but not wanting Hickory to win but it’ll be Hickory’s biggest challenge this season til deep in playoffs

Trends and thoughts on this and this oughta be a post by itself- 1st meeting last year Hickory destroys, 2nd meeting North makes it a game for a whole half and puts more points up and comes into the game with more momentum, North has pretty much most if not all starters except 2 or 3 back in this game on both sides of ball. Stuff to think about. They’ll execute the triple option better than Hibriten did.

I don’t believe Statesville is playing suspect this year and not doing as good. They did well til last 6 or 7 min in the North game so anyone not there last Friday don’t let the score fool ya, they was in it til last 6 or 7 min. North’s win over Statesville was not a fluke and they’ll come to play hard in Hickory.

Statesville just got their starting QB back this last game. I have to wonder if he may have been rusty. I wasn’t at the game so that I don’t know. I’m thinking they will play better this next week. Have to see what happens

Hickory has a size deficiency on the line and may have trouble with North Lincoln's triple option. Our linebackers are small too!
East Lincoln will not have a let down like they did after the big game last year at Hickory and FTF is capable of beating West Iredell of they don't beat themselves.

Oh NL on both sides of the ball are not exactly big hogs. Statesville had size but they got around them at least half the time and they had size on D. I said in earlier post that Statesville game was no fluke for North cause they looked like to me that they can play. More size and speed for Statesville that’s for sure. What helped North tremendously was no fumbles. They had one and they recovered it. They had 3 I think against ERutherford so that game shouldn’t have been as close. Same as the West Lincoln game.

In this one for North to have a chance they can’t have ANY. Guys fumble, any time it’s easy to do I know. Some of it is good defense punching at it at the right time and angle. North has improved on that I could tell in that last game. Death grip on that ball lol

I heard from a buddy North JV came back hard. Good set of guys and might be a bright future ahead. As of this moment while typing this I don’t know the JV outcome

The final score in tonight's JV game was Hickory 22 North Lincoln 16. NL didn't come back hard. They score with 2:30 left on 4th and goal and then picked up a fumble and returned it for a touchdown. They and the obnoxious and totally biased PA Announcer went home with another "what if" hope.

That's why teams play the game. I still recall the fact that this school backed out of the playoffs in 2022 and the players and parents weren't happy. The game may be closer than I think, bit I feel it will be only close for a quarter and then HHS will score at will.
