You would think the NCAA vacating a title is bound to happen at some point.

If so, this situation would be the perfect one. Blatant, widespread cheating that is easy to understand at a school nobody really cares about. Plus, Pitino and the UL fans are paving the way for it with all their whining and moaning that the punishment needs to be directed at those who were involved.

Bring it down, NCAA. Bring it down.

Did he play in any or has he been "injured" all year?

edit: yes, he has played this year, up until the WKU game.

Here's a question for all Tard lurkers...and we know you're here. Why are you guys not mad as hell at IU? After all, if it hadn't been for a photo that an IU administration staffer circulated, would we be where we are now?

IU had nothing at all to do with this book. It was already written and titled when the IU associate AD was contacted by the publisher to get a contact at UL to reach out to for official comment.

That's not how IU's involvement was originally explained. Supposedly, a staffer at IU had possession of a photo showing a UofL player (or possibly Andre Mcgee) and then reached out to UofL to confirm or give a heads-up. There was also some connection between IU and owner of the company that eventually published Powell's book.
Maybe someone more familiar with the early details can clarify this?

I can assure you what I said is 100% true.

Mickey Maurer is the owner of IBJ publishing, along with many other business interests. The Law School in Bloomington has his name on it. So he had connections in the administration, obviously.

After the book was already written, titled and ready to be published, Maurer asked an associate Ad at IU who his counterpart was at UL. After the introduction was made, a photo was shown to the associate AD and subsequently to the folks at UL to see if the person in the photo could be identified.

Katina Powell's big mistake when she contacted the NCAA about wrongdoing at a basketball program. She should have said " this involves a National Championship winning program in KENTUCKY".....Mr Emmert, line 1
For a piece of crap you are pretty smart. :sunglasses:

Just listened and watched the feed on KSR. I did not like MJ, even though I had never heard him speak (just from some of posters's views on this site)
BUT
he did an awesome job. He asked tough questions and followed up on her answers very well. Bravo.

OK, thanks for clearing that up. I must have gotten the chronology wrong somewhere.

Well,we've established that Pitino is far from being tops in player development.Anybody want to tackle the stats on how many players Pitino used and threw away? I'd say he crapped on more players than he put in the NBA by a large margin.I'd look it up myself ,but I get sick everytime I get near anything to do with Dirty Redbirds.
I agree RP does not develop 4-5 stars for the NBA. He holds them back. I do think he is good at turning mediocre players into good ones that play a key role on his teams. Anthony Epps is one example.

I still say the reason they took the PSB is because at least one player on this team has been found, or will be found, ineligible. For example, take away the games that Mango played in and ul would not qualify for the tournament.
Absolutely. If not a player someone with the staff. Otherwise PSB would be foolish at this point of time. How could it not be?
