Walk into any jail anywhere and ask for a show of hands for the people that say they are guilty. It's funny that the people that are no longer affiliated with ul would say that "yes, it happened" but the people that still can benefit from their time there all say, to a man, that absolutely nothing happened.

Forget the evidence and testimony that corroborates it, let's take the word of the accused.

My point exactly..

Jurich stepped in and backed Pitino in the most unseemly disgusting scandal in the history of the NCAA for any institution not named Penn State. The Louisville DA railroaded that poor harlot and IMO was complicit in UL's scheme to get Pitino off the hook.

Then Jurich goes out and brings Petrino back with all his baggage since decency and honor are no longer criteria they need be bothered with.

Well now all those chickens have come home to roost and they are plopping big giant wads of shat all over the UL campus and the press is stunned.

Why? Is this not exactly what UL has cultivated? They set the tone and everyone below is just following management's lead. From the top down they established a seedy underbelly culture of "working hard and playing hard" and being "Louisville Men" that clearly transmitted the message that if you didn't have a few hookers on the side then you weren't doing it right.

So why all the fuss? This is what they wanted. It's what they created. Purposefully. Why are they acting like they are stunned and that nobody knew what was going on when they are exactly the folks that created this culture to begin with?

If they fail to houseclean... to sterilize that putrid swamp and show Jurich and Pitino the door then they should just shut up and admit to being what they are. No need for all this hypocritical posturing when everyone knows that any decent sane man would have resigned in disgrace a long time ago before they dragged the entire campus down with them.
Looks like someone else listened to the Matt Jones Show today "Louisville Man".

Sypher was a nutjob but it was sickening and tragic the way Pitino and his crew manipulated her then fed what was left to the DA. That was disgusting. They had a chance to cut the cancer out right then but instead Jurich decided to work his witch doctoring magic and convince everyone that there was nothing to see despite the stench.

Honorable men resign in disgrace because they realize what they have done to something bigger and greater than themselves.

This mangy lot will have to be fumigated out. They aren't going anywhere and it is hard to watch them take down the entire place with them. Excruciating.

I have always hated UNC and Duke more than UL. I don't want for UL to be successful and I enjoy when they lose basketball and football games, but I don't enjoy seeing an entire city and state just dragged through this kind of mud. This is ugly stuff. Dirty. It takes a long time for the bleach to wash this kind of stench off and I don't think they'll be willing or strong enough to do what needs to be done. When you are as low as they are now you really have nothing left to shame you with so you just walk around like the undead which really has been Pitino since 9/11.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I was making fun of the Louisville Men thing earlier in this thread yesterday. I know Matt is pretty much the tip of the spear when it comes to hating on UL and good on him but I have never listened to his show.

Many years ago Matt actually wanted for me to write for his board. Wasn't interested and he has some decent talent there. Not like me, but decent.

The folks over at Sea of Blue have courted me a little bit a few years ago as well. As writers go, I am as good as there is in UK circles and they know it.

yes...it always more believable to use MFer and P***y and so on; when making "honest" claims. I will try this next time when in a debate with a UL fan, I am sure it will go well

Put me in the camp that thinks Pitino is guilty as sin here. He might not have known the nitty gritty about what McGee was doing, but I thoroughly believe he brought the guy back to Louisville (and funded the activities) so that he'd have a bag man he could trust but who was also expendable.

Pitino has been in the game long enough to know who he could trust and who he couldn't. He knew who would be willing to bend/break rules and who would squeal.
Doesn't matter if Rick did or didn't know. If this activity did happen it's on him. He may get cleared by the NCAA but it's on him and this will stick to him like glue.
Problem is Louisville will not only keep him but they will build a statue in his honor. How he can even show his face after the Karen Sypher ordeal is beyond me. He is braver than I. I would be in hiding. Probably alone in a cold apartment because my wife would not only leave but she would make sure I suffered a hard life.
I don't know how Joann is staying positive here. This can't help.

Tried it once blueaz, the result wasn't good. Got kicked out within seconds. It's amazing just how little they actually will forgive at that church.

If players are ruled ineligible for this then it's not only UL that will be vacating games. It wasn't only UL future-commits taking part in this. Several players are mentioned in the book that went to other universities.

You get instantly zapped at UNC or UL forums. The environment is too target rich for them to allow you to get your licks in. Funny because it is an exact polar opposite of their programs. Filthy dirty programs running sterile message boards.

I admire that to some degree about our own boards. We are strong enough to tolerate some dissent without being oppressive. That is a testament to our strength.

How many other prostitutes do you think UL has contracted that have yet to come forward?
I bet there are more out there that are just not talking. Someone with more time and motivation than myself ought to do some investigating.

My advice would be to start another thread specifically for the facts of the case specifically titled for that, since this one has already gone of the rails.

In an ideal world, I'd agree. However that would be a lot of work on the mods to sort and merge things into 2-3 different threads, based on facts vs speculation vs jokes. I think almost everyone would agree that having one huge thread, even if it does go off the rails a bit, is a lot better than having half the front page be threads about this.

So now I am a UL fan? LOL. Did you even bother to read my posts in this thread before Lumpy and his gang set in on me?

Name call then accuse of being a troll. You are a priceless bunch.
Can you provide a link to something I said about you? I've never said anything about you in this thread or any other one that I can remember. If you can show me where I've said something about you then I'll apologize. If not you need to shut the **** up.

Lying is old hat to Pitino and he's got nothing to lose to make the big attempt here to do just that. It simply can't get any worse, so try to lie your way out.

The Hancock interview and others to come are part of the Louisvilles PR blitz. They are going to find any player not implicated in the book and have them come out and emphatically say they never saw anything like it. It really doesn't matter to the case being built, simply just PR misdirection and bs for the idiot card fans to hang onto.

It is a stupid strategy on their part. Of course, what else would you expect from them?

Their only chance of not getting a MAJOR penalty is to own up to everything and completely clean house.

The longer their fan base and, more importantly, people associated with their team continue to deflect and deny, the greater their chances of going down. So, I hope they keep on doing just that.

He might have opened a whole new can of worms. Id venture to guess he was getting those $100 handshakes as a player too. But some folks can't stay out of the spotlight and aren't smart enough to keep their mouth shut.

He is definitely out if the spotlighting of the pro basketball variety.

UL's strategy seems to be mirroring UNC***s. I wonder if they have hired the same PR firm or the UL athletic dept. has tracked UNC***s moves and are trying to emulate them.

This might be why the UL strategy mirrors UNC's actions.

"The University of Louisville has approved the hiring of Leslie Strohm as the university’s new general counsel and vice president for strategy beginning in February. Strohm has held a similar position at the University of North Carolina since 2003, where her legal strategy was at the center of one of the worst-ever cases of academic fraud involving student athletes."
