Go ahead and bash me, but I think it's low class to give her a podium to speak when she's pimped her underaged daughters for sex. Louisivlle was wrong, she's the scum of the earth. Low class of KSR unless they confront her with that.
None of her daughters had sex or performed when underage

I hope they do...

It would really light a fire under the NCAA...

...and because he is right...no lesson is being learned...only two people are really feeling any sort of sting...

this didn't happen under the watch of Lee and Lewis...

Ramsey, Jurich, and Pitino should all be suspended with out pay...also would consider a season or two ban from being involved in NCAA athletics for jurich and pitino if things get worse...Andre Magee should be found, fined, and banned as well...the accomplishments and stats of the players from that time frame should be scrubbed...

I think NCAA should try to get with the NBA and work out some sort of deal that would allow pro players who were involved in scandals to be fined...

also i'm not a huge fan of the "self sanction" philosophy...it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to allow a party accused of breaking rules to dish out punishment...

that is the whole idea of the NCAA...if schools are going to break rules and then sanction themselves...what's the point of having a governing body?
Has anyone ever heard of a school over penalizing themselves? The only ones who over penalize themselves are those Japanese hari kari dudes.

If there is any justice in the world, that cheating ghetto commuter school will have all the wins and titles vacated from 2011 to 2014.

Think of the message it sends if they don't. We will take away all achievements and banners you accumulate while cheating if you are caught. However, if your cheating propels you to a championship then you are untouchable. Basically telling schools, "if you cheat you better make sure you win it all, then you get immunity from the ncaa." I hope this isn't the message they are wanting to send.
This is a really good point. If you're going to get harlots to help recruiting, better win it all.

ESPN and the local media seem to be siding with pitino that the ban is wrong. As the pressure mounts, it would not surprise me for ul to reverse their decision. Nothing they do will surprise me.

I have been thinking the same

They won't reverse it because losing next years recruits would hurt them far, far worse than geting it over with now. That's why they did it now, to save future recruiting. Hopefully, they'll lose them anyway and ruin 2 seasons, lol.

There is a chance that a player on this year's squad was involved previously, and would be ineligible, and thus any NCAA victories could be vacated...

Just throwing that out there...

So funny to watch some of their fans desperately spinning away at the bottom of that Bozo / Crawford article.

One guy still maintains the ONLY person who should get in any trouble at all is McGee.

[roll][roll][roll]

Too bad for them the story went national, or else they may have gotten away with it with their media toadies running interference for them.

Dude, you're not making any sense. There's an interview set up with Powell....I think it's low class. If they were intereviewing Pitino, I'd consider that low class as well. Show me any hypocrisy in there ??? Strange conversation.
If it bothers you so much ,Why are you on this thread glued to every word? Blowing your UL Troll Cover Again

How would they go about doing so? What is the process for banning yourself? I presume it involves some kind of paperwork submission to the NCAA. Does the NCAA allow 'takebacks'?

Sing this to any depressed U of L fan you know...

Everybody Squirts
R.E.M.
When your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Of this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go
'Cause everybody cries
And everybody squirts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone (Hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (Hold on)
If you think you've had too much
Of this life, well hang on
Everybody squirts
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody squirts
Don't throw your hand, oh no
Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone
No, no, no, you are not alone
If you're on your own in this life
The days and nights are long
When you think you've had too much of this life to hang on
Well, everybody squirts sometimes
Everybody cries
Everybody squirts sometimes

That could be it as well. The decision was made so fast that maybe saving the banner was the one and only thought at the time. Lots of possibilities. I just hope every single rat jumps ship or is fired and the entire ship sinks.

I see. The sanctions against UK were almost 30 years ago. In that 30 year span, the NCAA has never brought out "the big hammer"? Interesting.
You don't think probation, tv ban and scholarship reductions wasn't a big hammer? Interesting.

Seems like our FB team got tv ban , probation and scholarship reduction at the end of mumme's tenure. Sounds like a big hammer to me. Interesting.

Mike Decourcy of the Sporting News was on the Louisville ESPN affiliate this afternoon. He's a straight shooter, one of my favorites. I don't want to say he was dismissive of the allegations against Louisville, but he was heading that way. He said the main thing about this is the embarrassment factor - true - and that if you just focus on the dollar amounts involved, it's the kind of case the NCAA routinely and easily resolves. Plain old impermissible benefits. Then someone asked if there was any danger in the banner coming down, and Decourcy doesn't think there's much chance of that as it's never happened before. Then there was talk of Memphis '08, and the point there is that since Rose cheated on the ACT, he didn't complete the eligibility requirements, so he was ineligible from the get go. And since Memphis used an ineligible player, the games were forfeited.

So I'd not thought in those terms. I guess I was just thinking that the players involved in this mess would be after the fact determined ineligible. But I suppose that's not right. What level of impermissible benefits crosses a line to make a kid ineligible? Or am I not framing that right?

Ok. I understand. The NCAA, in the last 30 years, has only brought out "the big hammer" when UK was involved.

I still say the reason they took the PSB is because at least one player on this team has been found, or will be found, ineligible. For example, take away the games that Mango played in and ul would not qualify for the tournament.

I guess we should note what UL players DON'T play the rest of the season. Might be an important clue.

Having siblings that are card fans they are so mad they have blood in their eyes. They are bound and determined to get uk in trouble. they will lie, cheat, steal and bribe to get back at us. Let them try i think cal, mitch and the university president are keeping the program clean. If i was matt jones or katrina and living in louisville i would expect property damage or assaults. Believe me, card fans are beside themselves.

We got three years probation and tournament ban over a $1,000 in an envelope plus a head coach and AD fired.

A looserville staff member paid a female pimp $10,000 plus to set up 22 parties in a secure campus building with security guards where recruits, guardians and players dolled out another $700 to a $1,000 in tips and for sex per party.

Let's hope justice prevails

This lady prostituted out her own underage children and instead of sitting in jail, she's on the interview circuit. That is so F'd up ! Whatever. Enjoy your soap opera tomorrow. Pure filth.
Once Again,it was proved early on the daughters were of age and made their own choices about what they did or didn't do,the woman is definitely not a good role model or moral compass, but she is no worse than the people who hired and used heGet of your moral High Horse, your UL Delusion is Showing

I don't see it happening. Once they got Chuck Smrt involved, I think Ramsey is letting him run the investigation, and part of this was the ban. They may regret that they hired Smrt, but they can't put the toothpaste, back in the tube.
no way in Hell they rescind the ban...

If in the act of giving these impermissible benefits your are committing a crime (paying for sex) I'm guessing that crosses a line. Similar I think to stealing phones from the istore and then giving those phones to recruits.

You know, I don't care if WWW is writing kids checks for $100K to come to UK, it would be almost impossible to out-do the sleaze factor of providing cheap prosties for recruits. At least you can't get an STD from it.

Not trying to be the moral compass just stating my opinion. I was not planning on listening but did catch some of it. My point is as much as I root for UK and against UOFL, that women is trash. I rather listen to or read about something
else that doesn't involve whores and there clients.

You have that right. Powell wins in all this because she seeks attention and many are smut-hungry enough to award her what she wants by both interviewing her and listening. Jerry Springer is brilliant as well. He capitalized on people's lust for sleaze. Funny stuff. Katina appreciates you listening.

What were their penalties? Lots of teams have ncaa violations. The issue was severity of penalty.

But you obviously don't agree with me, so never mind.

actually Matt himself led off the show saying Katina is not even the story any more. the scandal scandal started before her, there are others and it's gone way beyond her (from what he's being told by insiders that know unreleased details)
I've been saying this all along, the Cheating at UL started with Jurich and grew with Pitino's Hire,Win At all Costs and hurt UK was the motto of the day.
