Yeah, the "take away ________ and that team wouldn't be nearly as good!" argument is truly idiotic. Take away Jordan from the 90s Bulls and they're not a champion. Take away Kobe from the 2000s Lakers and they're not as good. It's a foolish argument. If you break down that argument, you end up having to argue that great players don't make great teams. To win that argument, you have to prove that it's better to have no players better than any others on your team, which is obviously ridiculous.
And I would guess that it's best to stay away from any Louisville board right now because all you'll see is venom and bitterness toward UK, even though we have nothing to do with the scandal that has engulfed their basketball team. The only thing they have left is to hate and curse Kentucky.
The irony? Their blind support and unwillingness to hold accountable Rick Pitino led them to where they are. Only a man who believes himself to be untouchable and more important than everyone around him could even begin to think he could engage in this behavior without consequences.
