What does Ryan Buchanan's dad do?

I seem to remember reading that he was involved in getting kemdiche's daddy a job at umc. Maybe someone can confirm or shoot this down.

A quick Google search tells us his name is Brooks. He is an attorney, apparently not in public practice, but rather corporate. He is also on the board of the Magnolia Speech School, along with a few UMC big shots.
