An assistant coach with prior HC experience.

Blaming the fans? How many years have they sold out CWS? I've had tickets 18'years. UK is 93-135 during that time. Mind to tell me how that's my fault? Some of the fans getting their act together so they quit trying to discourage our commits from coming here.
I agree except I think Stoops needs to stay on the sideline and Elliot needs to go up in the booth.I think Stoops needs an older and experienced former head coach on the staff that can help him with the in-game decisions. I think this coach needs to be in the booth relaying to the staff what he is seeing from both the offense and defense and can help in making in-game adjustments. Butch Jones did this at TN and it helped them as the season went on.....
I also think Stoops needs to look at a designated Special Teams Coordinator and possibly a QB coach.....

Come on Jauk, give it a rest. Jeez. Some of the fans getting their act together so they quit trying to discourage our commits from coming here.
A coach with prior HC experience who is now an assistant was almost surely a failed HC. Why would you want someone who failed trying to help someone who is failing? That's like getting someone who failed algebra help tutor someone who is failing algebra. An assistant coach with prior HC experience.
I don't even know what an "Air Raid" offense is anymore.
The one thing I think would go a long way in helping any offense we decide to run is, well beside the obvious better OL play, is more speed across the board.
If they are ignorant enough to let a message board influence their decision they are probably too stupid to learn the playbook
Fire Stoops and the entire staff. Hire a proven winning coach instead of the same ole crap like we have endured since the bear left....excluding a couple
Recruit a five star QB and start him day one instead of the red shirt crap we have seen.
Side note: I don't care if the new coach drinks alcohol, smokes pot, screws strippers or his staff. As long as he is a proven winning coach. That's all I want. Someone with balls!!!!!
Fire Mitch Barnhart ! And hire a Football A.D. !
James Coley and Bo Pelini as co-OC and co-DC
Ansley has one foot out the door, Pelini takes that spot and be co-DC and coach DBs. I don't see how you can add Coley unless you just replace Dawson.
Coley used to coach with Stoops so there is a connection. Why do people keep mentioning Coley?
Has there been the slightest hint he would be interested in UK?

Everyone makes mistakes. But stoops takes this whole making mistakes thing to new levels. He is a very inept coach saying it nicely. As for topic. Dawson gotta go horrible play caller I would argue he's one of the worst all day everyday. Schlarman gotta go. Some changes need to happen. But with stoops at coach I think he's just going to be nice and let friendships get in the way of success and all these assistants regardless of how bad they are won't get fired. Stoops isn't going to get paid less the worse he performs. And I feel like he's the kind of guy to choose loyalty to friends over success. And since Barnhart told stoops he doesn't need to make changes, then he definitely won't. No reason Dawson should call another play. But stoops makes a lot of head scratching decisions so why believe Dawson is going anywhere? Same reason we ended up with a ton of assistants and coordinators with zero experience in their new roles. Stoops is kind of clueless you all. I want him to succeed. But there's no experience in this staff. So it's almost inevitable we fail til they're fired.I agree with this. Moreover, I've watched Jones a little at CMU and quite a bit at Cincy, and now a lot at UT. He was my choice for UKs coach. He had 6 yrs of prior head coaching experience before UT, and still has made mistakes while coaching UT. We need to keep this in mind when thinking about Stoops.
