Seriously, it should be awesome next week. I have no expectations that we will pull off the upset, but it will feel good all week to be back in the conversation of relevant teams.
Who is feeling sorry for themselves? It’s called being realistic and waiting to get excited till there actually is something to get excited about. What we have always done is exactly what you are doing.
Hopefully it'll be cooler than this weekend will be. Should be around 90 at game time tomorrow.
Pat, I've been right there with you all along. BUT - If we win tomorrow, by the time next Friday rolls around, I can promise you I will have found a way to talk myself into thinking we might have a chance. "It's going to be different this time!" I'll tell myself. #WeBelieve!

Most excited I have been for a game since Dak was here. I don’t think we will win but it won’t be because I’m not excited and loud.
If we blow NIU out, which we might, I may be there too. I really like our offensive skill players & defensive backfield. Big question is the OL & DL.
I think we are going to beat the sh*t out of northern Illinois. I thought we would come out flat last week and we didn’t. I think Lebby has them focused and northern Illinois has zero offense.
I have about as much excitement brewing inside me as I did to start the season. Not even cautiously optimistic. I’m just hoping we don’t poop in the bed today.
I kept my promise if we beat Arizona State. I would support our team more. I actually wore my Mississippi State polo shirt yesterday. The other significances. It was the shirt that I bought five or six years ago, and it was a 3X. It's been a long time since I've been able to wear a 3X.

I don't expect rampant positivity from you Pat, but in this case I agree. No need to sugarcoat it or create false expectations. You optimists will feel better if you just moderate expectations and recognize that a 2 or 3 TD loss is much more likely than a win.
I'm more focused on finishing this 4 game stretch 4-0. Anything beyond that is going to make for a positive season.

Agree. I think we’ll win a conference game somewhere this season. But right now we won’t be favored in any of them. And Tennessee is one of the 4 I think we have very little chance to win.

Yeah, looking at the remaining schedule, it's unfortunate that our toughest SEC games are at home and the more winnable ones are on the road. Makes it harder for a team like this one to find that win or two.

How can you not be excited? We are 4-0 hearing into SEC play. Win or lose it will be a fun atmosphere and I’m excited to see these guys continue to move forward
